The Sun is reporting today that Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has agreed to join the other members of Led Zeppelin for a reunion tour that will kick off sometime in 2009. Led Zeppelin To Play Coachella And/Or Bonnaroo* [Stairway To Reunion?]
How do you get Robert Plant to agree to a full-scale Led Zeppelin reunion when he's reluctant to leave his project with Alison Krauss behind just so he can play decades-old music every night and rake in a lot of cash? Apparently, you tell him the band's moving on without him.

The other members of the reconstituted Led Zeppelin (John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, and John Bonham's son Jason) have warned the singer that they may go ahead on a reunion tour without him if he doesn't make up his mind soon about whether to join them or not.
In the meantime, the band has been rehearsing with stand-in singers, and have hinted that an unnamed American vocali

Initially, it was believed that singer Plant was against a full tour with the band.
However, today's report claims that Plant is now ready to join guitarist Jimmy Page, bassis

Led Zeppelin classic 'too racy' for Olympics
After choosing the song for the closing ceremony on Sunday they decided that some of the lyrics would have to be omitted or re-written amid concerns that they could cause offence.
The song was chosen as the centrepiece of an eight-minute £2.5million British segment at the event in Beijing at which the Olympic flag will be officially passed to the London Mayor Boris Johnson.
Organisers of the London 2012 Games commissioned the band's guitarist Jimmy Page to record a new version of the song to be perfo

I love the GQ "Man of the Year" awards cause it's like the "Sexiest Man Alive" but, like, Tony Bennett is in the running. And indeed, there he was (heart, presumably, in San Francisco) last night at British GQ's iteration at London's Royal Opera House, along with Gordon Ramsey, Robert Plant and a bunch of other Brits. And I know it was the gents' night, but man...the distaff side was appalling. I mean, we expect a jolly train wreck from Lily Allen, but Liz Hurley? Thandie Newton? Fasten your seatbelts, it's
The Who Delay Covers Album, Townshend Working On New Songs
The Who’s covers album has been delayed, thanks in part to producer T Bone Burnett’s obligations to the Robert Plant & Alison Krauss tour. “It still probably will happen, but I think the smaller the idea is kept, the better,” Roger Daltrey told Billboard.com. “Small and fluid, maybe just something for our Website.” The band initially planned to include Motown classics and James Brown songs on the proposed covers album.
