Mark Ronson:

all of you are f***king wondrous.

i can't believe the love that we've been shown over the past sixteen or so months. if i never play another note of guitar on stage after this sunday, i could die happy with a million memories. all the crew, musicians and singers that came on the road with us, you're lovely. and most of all, all of you that came to see us play, i hope we left you elated and elevated in some form or another.

THE OLD GANG

this sunday at lollapalooza in chicago will be our last gig of the run, maybe even the last time we play any of these Version tunes ever. i'm f***king thrilled to say that we'll be joined once again by Alex Greenwald (who's been off with his own band, Phantom Planet, for a while), Daniel Merriweather, Tiggers, Tim Burgess, Kenna, Rhymefest, Wale, Plastic Little, Tawiah, Stuart Zender, and more. I couldn't think of a finer bunch of people to take a curtain call with, so I'll hope you come and watch us.

Otherwise, all i can is say is "thank you", like a broken alanis morrisette record.

P.S.

WINEHOUSE 'GUTTED' BY BOND THEME SNUB
Amy Winehouse is "gutted" to have missed out on the chance to sing the theme tune to the new JAMES BOND movie, according to superproducer Mark Ronson. The pair teamed up to record a possible song for forthcoming 007 film Quantum of Solace, but their effort was rejected in favour of a duet between Alicia Keys and Jack White. And Ronson admits that they are both extremely disappointed their entry was not chosen for the movie soundtrack - putting the decision down to Winehouse's troubled personal life.
