Kathy Griffin: Casting about: Kathy Griffin on 'Privileged;' Chevy Chase meets Chuck Kathy Griffin loves her gays. Maybe that’s why she’ll be planning a gay wedding this spring. The mouthy comic from Oak Park will guest star as Marco’s wedding planner on the season finale of CW’s “Privileged,” according to Zap2it. Other recently announced casting coups? Chevy Chase will appear in several episodes of “Chuck” as computer genius Ted Roark, nerdy spy Chuck’s hero, NBC says. The comedy legend and Chicago native will appear ins several episodes as the founder of Roark Instruments. Chuck (Zachary Levi) has worshiped Roark since he was a kid. But as is always the case on NBC’s excellent action-comedy, Roark and his company may be doing some nefarious work. NBC hasn’t set a date for Chase’s appearance. Over at “The Office,” Idris Elba, probably more famous for his serious roles in such films as “RocknRolla” and “American Gangster,” will go for laughs as a Dunder-Mifflin coporate honcho who gives Steve Carell’s Michael Scott a hard time. NBC says Elba will appear in several episodes, but didn’t set a date. Source Read full story at community.livejournal.com

Kathy Griffin's 'D-Word' Joke From New Year's Eve (VIDEO)
CNN made a bold choice by asking the loose cannon Kathy Griffin to appear on live, yes live TV to co-host the New Year's Eve ball drop with Anderson Cooper. Chevy Chase To Guest Star On Chuck
It seems no NBC show is immune from the growing trend of stunt casting. The Will & Grace syndrome has affected 30 Rock lately, and now Chuck is falling victim as well, signing up Chevy Chase for a three-episode arc. To be fair, I love Chevy Chase, and relish the opportunity to see him and Chuck star Zachary Levi go head to head. Chase is apparently playing a mega-billionaire whom Chuck's father accused of stealing his ideas. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impre

News Bites: Kathy Griffin's Mother Is Angry
- Kathy Griffin told Jimmy Kimmel that her awesome mom is bullshit over Kathy's hilarious (yeah, i know she stole the joke, but come on - it was hot) "knock the dicks out of your mouth" slip on NYE. Anderson Cooper is probably still kee-kee-keeing over it. That shit was funny. Not to her Moms, though. Her mom told her that she's "shamed the family." Her Mom just needs to drink her wine and realize the fun. And never, ever die because she told Steve Wozniak that computers sucked. HAH!

Emmy red carpet: Strapless gowns, silly banter
The Emmy pre-shows on E! and the TV Guide Channels -- covering red-carpet happenings as the stars arrived -- are always an attraction unto themselves.
