He says that inspiration for ‘Love Lockdown’ came from Christian Bale’s killer character in the thriller American Psycho. Kanye stated that he based parts of his musical creation on the 1980s Wall Street murderer Patrick Bateman that Christian Bale portrays in the big-screen adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ novel. “
