DARK SHADOWS is in development over at Johnny Depp's Infinitum-Nihil and Graham King's GK Films along with Warner Bros. It is a feature based on the '60s daytime supernatural soap opera.
While no director, writer or cast has yet been announced, the film is based on over 1,225 episodes of the television series dating from 1966 to 1971. Dark Shadows was a highly atmospheric, spooky soap that featured gothic horror staples like vampires, monsters, witches, werewolves, ghosts and zombies.

The ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star, 44, would be expected to appear in a series of offbeat TV commercials for the company’s new Magnum range.

Johnny Depp movie to be shot in Wisconsin, Milwaukee
Attracted by tax incentives that went into effect Jan. 1, Universal Pictures has committed to shooting portions of its upcoming Johnny Depp film "Public Enemies" in Wisconsin, Gov. Jim Doyle said Tuesday.
The movie is likely to include scenes filmed at locations in Milwaukee, Baraboo, Oshkosh, Madison and Columbus, Wis., said Scott Robbe, executive director for Film Wisconsin and a leader behind the development of the tax incentive program.
"Milwaukee will play prominently in the film," Robbe said,

Reports that Johnny Depp married partner Vanessa Paradis in Kentucky are "not true," his rep tells Usmagazine.com.
"There is no wedding," the rep confirmed.

George A. Romero's "Dawn of the Dead" will be "dimensionalized" to stereoscopic 3-D for a planned theatrical release.
New Amsterdam Entertainment has tapped 3-D company In-Three, which will use its proprietary "dimensionalization" process to turn the 1978 indie horror flick movie into 3-D. The project is expected to be completed within the year.

'Delight' over final Ledger film
Director Terry Gilliam has said he is "delighted" Heath Ledger's final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, will be released.
