Johnny Depp Is Busy
Don't expect Johnny Depp to return your phone calls anytime soon, because he's going to be tied up for a while. And not tied up in the way you've fantasized about over and over again. Johnny is currently shooting Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" for Tim Burton. He plays the Mad Hatter opposite Mia Wasikowska as Alice and Matt Luc

Johnny Depp Back as Jack Sparrow in ‘Pirates 4′
Still no confirmation on what it’ll be about or even if any of the rest of the cast might return, but I suppose that doesn’t matter. As long as you have Captain Jack Sparrow, not only do you have the worst pirate you’ve ever seen, you also have a Pirates of the Caribbean movie.  He really has to be there. It’s a given.  Source: Variety POSTED BY: Nick Wolfwood Related Posts Johnny Depp To Present @ MTV Movie AwardsHappy Birthday Johnny DeppJohnny Depp is Hopelessly Romantic…Johnn

Depp to Play Mad Hatter in 3-D Alice?
When I learned, via GreenCine Daily, that Johnny Depp might be playing the part of the Mad Hatter in a Tim Burton 3-D version of Alice in Wonderland (financed by the Disney Corp.) my first thought was - Why? Hadn’t Depp already played that part - or a visual simulacrum of it - in Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (above)? On second thought - Why not? If Depp could play Captain Jack in three Pirates films, why not revive his Willy Wonka characterization in the surreal context of a Lewis

Johnny Depp dons another hat for Burton
Johnny Depp will preside over the manic tea party in Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" as the Mad Hatter. Depp and Burton -- who first worked together in 1990's "Edward Scissorhands" and most recently collaborated on "Sweeney Todd" -- have formed one of the longest-running director-actor partnerships in modern Hollywood. And so when Burton committed to filming a new live-action/CG version of "Alice," Depp was touted as the most likely candidate to play the Mad Hatter -- after all, having worked with Bur

Johnny Depp to star in 'Pirates 4'
Disney is keeping Johnny Depp busy with a fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" film and co-starring turns in "The Lone Ranger" and "Alice in Wonderland." Since Depp's first three "Pirates of the Caribbean" films added $2.6 billion in worldwide box office to the Disney coffers, it was no surprise that the company made him its unofficial posterboy at its Wednesday (Sept. 24) presentation in Hollywood. Perhaps the most predictable piece of Depp-related casting announced at the event was that the Oscar nomin

This is right up Depp’s alley of strange and weird characters.  And there really shouldn’t have been much doubt that Tim Burton was going to cast Depp.  I can’t recall the last Burton wilm that didn’t have JD in it.  But with this news, I am completely pumped for this adaptation. Disney Pulls Out Big Guns with 3-D, Johnny Depp
Perusing through IMDB, you might start to notice a trend for upcoming films: 3-D is back in a big way. The once-gimmicky (well, it's still gimmicky) trend is the latest move by theaters in the wake of lagging sales to cash in on some of that super-lucrative nostalgia bucks. Disney has at least five films slated to come out in 3-D in the upcoming year or so, and another 16 in development, including a Tim Burton adaptation of Alice in Wonderland starring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Depp will also st

Johnny Depp Headed Back to the Caribbean
Johnny Depp is signing on to don his wig and eye liner yet again for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ part four. Depp has become famous for his portrayal of Jack Sparrow Captain of the Black Pearl for at least one more film. Lets face it you can not have a pirate movie without Johnny Depp. There is no confirmation on the script or even what it is about or if the rest of the cast will return. I guess if you have Captain Jack Sparrow who needs the rest. I would really miss Orlando Bloom but hey that is just me

In Tim Burton’s upcoming CGI/3D/live-action (I’m not sure if anyone really knows WHAT it will actually be) take on the classic Alice in Wonderland story, Johnny Depp was long-rumored to be playing the Mad Hatter. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Depp will play the Mad Hatter. Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is set to play Alice, with Matt Lucas starring as Tweedledum and Tweedledee. Although I usually ignore rumors, I figured Depp would make at least some sort of appearance in the film.

But when Igor builds a hulking female monster (Molly Shannon) in the hopes of winning the Evil Science Fair, she turns out to be a sweet giantess who wouldn't hu
