Jackson Browne Suing John McCain
Jackson Browne is suing John McCain and the Republican Party for using the song "Running on Empty" in a campaign ad, according to the Los Angeles Times. The singer/songwriter is charging copyright infringement and false endorsement, UPI reports. Browne is "incensed" that the presumptive Republican presidential nominee has been using the song in campaign commercials, the singer/songwriter's attorney said. A McCain spokesperson told the Times that the ad was actually put together by the Ohio Republican Part

John McCain Meets Palin Family
ET has the latest...Just in: all-new photos of presidential hopeful John McCain meeting his VP Sarah Palin's 17-year-old pregnant daughter Bristol and her soon-to-be husband Levi Johnston, 18, as he touched down in St. Paul, MN. This marks the first public appearance by the teenage couple since the news exploded that Bristol and Levi are expecting their first child together. A media frenzy is expected as Palin's family joins her at the RNC tonight, when she's scheduled to speak.

Heidi Montag 'Can't Believe' She Isn't McCain's Running Mate
Heidi Monag, who has declared her support for John McCain, jokes that she's "really hurt" she was passed over as the Republican presidential candidate's running mate. "I can't believe it," she kidded with Extra. "Blondes have more fun. I guess he doesn't know that." On Friday, McCain announced that he'd chosen Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his vice presidential pick. "He picked a girl and it wasn’t Heidi," Montag's boyfriend, Spencer Pratt, added. "Not p

Romney Already Tossing McCain Aside
Sarah Palin may or may not have been the right choice for him, but at least John McCain must be feeling good today about his decision to pass on Mitt Romney as his running-mate. Romney badly wanted the spot and devoted the last six months—after dropping out of the presidential race in February—to pursuing it, using countless television and radio appearances to trash Barack Obama and herald McCain as an unusually capable, qualified and principled leader. This posture marked an abrupt shift fro

Life's like a movie - political edition.
"McCain's situation really does mirror Snakes On A Plane," posits David Poland at the Hot Blog, who goes on to present a bizarre and elaborate box office metaphor that I don't buy, but enjoyed anyway: "But then... it turns out that the only movie opening against it is a Denzel Washington movie. Yeah, he's a movie star and everyone seems to love him, but there also seems to be a glass ceiling when it comes to his grosses." Over at pullquote, the cinetrix sees some Palin movie parallels: "The patriotic, pro

Video: Peggy Noonan, Mike Murphy Caught Slamming McCain's Palin Pick
Peggy Noonan, former Ronald Reagan speech writer and Mike Murphy, a political consultant to John McCain, were caught on tape criticizing the GOP nominee's VP pick, Sarah Palin... More

McCain: No More Question About Palin!
The John McCain campaign has become the Sarah Palin campaign. McCain's camp is sick and tired of answering questions about Palin's personal life because he believes it's a “faux media scandal designed to destroy the first female Republican nominee” for vice president. “This nonsense is over,” declared senior campaign adviser Steve Schmidt in a written statement. “The McCain campaign Will have no further comment about our long and thorough process,” Schmidt said How can we NOT talk

Giuliani: McCain, experienced, 'on top'
ST. PAUL - Unlike the Democrats, Rudy Giuliani says, Republicans Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin have got their ticket right: "The most experienced candidate on the top.'' Giuliani, the former New York mayor who sought the Republican Party's presidential nomination and was to serve as keynote speaker for the convention here before Hurricane Gustav upset the order, spoke about the vetting of McCain's running mate and more in an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "Based on what I know, she was tho

Lindsay Lohan: Political Blogger
Taking time off from having gross lesbian sex with Samantha Ronson, Lindsay Lohan threw her hat into the political spectrum today by using her MySpace blog to tackle the pervasive topic of Bristol Palin's pregnancy. I guess even Lindsay Lohan needs site traffic too. Then again, she could just buy a webcam. Just sayin': I've been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and i keep hearing about the issues related to 'teen pregnancy'- It's all related to Sarah Palin and her 17 year old unmarried p

Mother-In-Law To Vote For Palin
There is absolutely no question, I'm going to vote for the Republican ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin, Palin's mother-in-law, Faye, told TV's Inside Edition.... More

Bristol and Levi, together, meet McCain plane
We thought we spied Bristol Palin's baby daddy -- or fiancé, since parents say the two plan to wed -- live on MSNBC, standing in line shaking hands with John McCain as he stepped off his plane at the airport in Minneapolis a short time ago. And it turns out we did. Here's Levi Johnston and Bristol, chatting with the Republican presidential candidate. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and her entire family met McCain upon his arrival at the airport. By Robyn Beck, AFP/Getty Images Posted at 01:33
