James McAvoy wasn’t a hit with girls as a teen
James McAvoy has admitted that he wasn’t a hit with girls when he was a teenager.
Speaking at a US chat show to host Jay Leno, the 28-year-old Scot revealed that he wasn’t sexy when he was in school and could only get the stragglers.
He further said that even being in a band didn’t boost his pulling power.
McAvoy, who achieved critical acclaim in the movie The Last King Of Scotland, said he didn’t always have sex appeal.

James McAvoy senior split from his former wife when the 'Atonement' star was a child and hasn't spoken to his son in 20 years, insisting the star refused to see him as he was growing up.

Well, it had to happen. This week heirs of J. R. R. Tolkien's Hobbit fetches $120,000
A 1937 first edition of JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit has been sold at auction to an anonymous bidder for £60,000 ($120,000) - twice what it was expected to reach.
The Hobbit was Tolkien's most successful book, establishing his name as an author, and came before the longer Lord Of The Rings trilogy.
Maps, photographs and manuscripts will also be sold at Bonhams in London.
The copy of The Hobbit is inscribed to Tolkien's friend Elaine Griffiths, who had originally helped get it published.

In a major step forward on “The Hobbit,” Guillermo del Toro has signed on to direct the New Line-MGM tentpole and its sequel.
The widely expected announcement -- which had been rumored for several weeks -- came Thursday afternoon jointly from exec producers Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, New Line president Toby Emmerich, and Mary Parent, newly named chief of MGM’s Worldwide Motion Picture Group.

New York City's Comic Con was the scene of gushing fan-gasms as the faithful flocked to see the stars of Hellboy II: The Golden Army. I'm talkin crowds, wrapped around like noodles, for a chance to see everyone's favorite ass kicking demon, sans the red make-up, and the rest of the original gangster BPRD crew. The panel was hilarious with monsters on stage and more cursing from Guillermo del Toro than I've ever seen at a public event.
