Jack White Annoyed With Coke Over Bond Song
Coca Cola has used the upcoming Bond Theme, ‘Another Way To Die’ by Jack White and Alicia Keys, in promotion of their Coke Zero brand and White isn’t happy. Watch the Coke Zero Zero 7 commercial here.
The White Stripes rocker released a statement regarding the soft drink’s use of the song for a tie-in with the new 007 film.
“Jack White was commissioned by Sony Pictures to write a theme song for the James Bond film ‘Quantum of Solace,’ not for Coca Cola,” t
Alicia Keys Sounds Off on ‘Quantum’ Song, Says She Wants To Be A Bond Girl
Alicia Keys just got done recording “Another Way to Die,” the new theme song for the latest Bond film, “Quantum of Solace.” But her real ambition?
“I think I can be the next Bond girl,” the singer and actress laughed when we caught up with her recently at the Toronto Film Festival.
For now, of course, Keys will have to settle for co-creating with White Stripes frontman Jack White the kick-ass opening number in “Solace,” which I cannot mention without also mentioning that it’s the wor

Jack White Loses Quantum Of Dignity [Endorsements]
If there's one thing we know about Jack White—besides his penchant for ugly facial hair—it's that he loves money. Lucky for him the Coca-Cola corporation has plenty where that came from, and a massive cross-promotion deal with the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace. White composed the music for a new Coke Zero/Quantum commercial, proving his corporate cred once and for all to the notoriously insular and judgmental Madison Avenue scene, which has long accused him of selling in.

Jack White talks about the Raconteurs (and other things)
Jack White is the singer and guitarist in not one but two first-class rock bands. 2007 was The White Stripes' year, devoted to recording and touring behind "Icky Thump,'' the latest album from his garage-blues duo with ex-wife Meg White. This year was earmarked for the Raconteurs, White's collaboration with power-pop tunesmith Brendan Benson, and Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler of Midwestern garage-rockers the Greenhornes.
The Raconteurs released their second album, "Consolers of the Lonely,'' in March and

It would appear that the disgusting and pointless (is their a reason for a coke drink to exist which has no sugar… or calories as it’s marketed in the U.S.?) brand that is Coke Zero has been temporarily re-named Zero Zero as part of a James Bond tie-in campaign to celebrate the upcoming QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

Jack White's Raconteurs at Treasure Island Festival
We asked Jack White and Brendan Benson of the Raconteurs to talk about the ups and downs of the festival circuit, including the particular challenge of persuading fans of The White Stripes' "Seven Nation Army" to dig into the far-out sounds of their current band's second album, "Consolers of the Lonely." And yes, they insist, it really is a band.

Jack White Didn't Approve That Coke/Bond Commercial
As we told you last week, that new James Bond-themed Coke commercial uses Jack White's "Another Way To Die," aka his duet with Alicia Keys, aka the theme song for the new Bond film Quantum Of Solace, to help rebrand and sell Coke Zero as Coke Zero Zero 7 (duh). What we didn't tell you (because we didn't know) is that White didn't give Coca Cola his approval to pair his riffs with those car chases, slow-mo kung-fu silhouettes, and silhouetted ladies swimming the seas of Coke. Too bad, Jack & Coke has a nice
