The secrets of JK Rowling's amazing makeover (and, yes, $1.1 billion does help)
JK Rowling's appearance this week just goes to show that - the odd wardrobe malfunction aside - with enough money and time we could all look far more beautiful and much younger than we did ten years ago. The sight of the author at Wednesday night's British Book Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London was a revelation. Gone is the home-dyed, slightly carroty, thick mop of hair with its unflattering heavy fringe, the lumpy old shapeless cardigans and the fag hanging from her mouth. From such

Rowling wins privacy case over photo of son
Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has won her battle to ban further publication of a long-lens photograph of her son, in a privacy case her legal team called a major development in British law. The initial claim by Rowling and her husband was thrown out by a London court last year, prompting the couple to appeal. In a written judgment on Wednesday, a panel of judges upheld the appeal, a ruling which Rowling and husband Neil Murray welcomed. "We understand and accept that with the success of Harry Po

Ali Lohan: Troll's New Girl?
Ali Lohan may be hooking up with a troll. The E! reality star is director John Carl Buechler's top choice for a lead role in the big-budget remake of his 1986 camp classic, Troll. Emma Watson casts a spell over new man at Empire Awards after-party
She may have been coy about rumours of a romance with rocker Johnny Borrell, but it seems Emma Watson is not being so secretive about the new man in her life. The 17-year-old Harry Potter star was kissing a handsome blond at the after-party of the Empire film awards last night - and the couple left very little to the imagination about how they felt about each other. The pair were clearly oblivious to the fact that onlookers were watching their every move at the Carbon Club in Marble Arch. Sources
