"Indiana Jones 5" Won't Center on Shia LaBeouf, Insists George Lucas
moviesblog.mtv.com - 5th Aug 2008
Shia LaBeouf: This past May, two weeks before “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” opened worldwide,
George Lucas told reporters at the Cannes Film Festival that he already had an idea for a possible “Indiana Jones V,” and that it centered, not on Dr. Henry Jones, but on his son, Mutt Williams (
Shia LaBeouf).
Three knife-flipping, tree-swinging, accident having months later and that idea? It's kind of, well, “Nuked the Fridge,”
Lucas told MTV News.
Asked whether he still considered Mutt Williams a strong enough character to drive an “Indiana Jones” film,
Lucas was adamant that Indy just isn't Indy without Indy. Or, to put it another way: No.
“Indiana Jones is Indiana Jones.
Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones,”
Lucas said, dismissively adding about a character he helped create that, “If it was Mutt Williams it would be -Mutt Williams and the Search for Elvis' or something.”

Tuskegee Airmen to be subject of George Lucas film
The black airmen whose lives will be the basis of a George Lucas movie know the picture will highlight their record of successfully escorting thousands of U.S. bombers in World War II.
They also feel it should tell of the trials they encountered stateside, like seeing German prisoners of war being treated better and afforded rights that were withheld from black American citizens.
Now that "Red Tails" is in preproduction, some of the airmen say they are excited their story is coming to the big screen
Indiana Jones to Debut at Cannes Film Festival

Lucas Considers Indy 5
In spite of the critical mauling Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull received, George Lucas has been discussing the possibility of a fifth film in the franchise, stating, "If I can come up with another idea that they like, we'll do another."
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Lucas said that putting together the recently released sequel was a challenge. "Indiana Jones only becomes complicated when you have another two people saying 'I want it this way' and 'I want it that way', whereas when I f

If you’ve always had a thing for Slave Leia, you definitely need to watch the first video below. That’s because next week’s episode of “Deal Or No Deal” is doing a “Star Wars” themed two-hour special and they’ve got the models dressed up like Carrie Fisher from “Return of the Jedi.”
But before getting to the clip, I’d like to take a quick moment to commend George Lucas for finally doing something right. Since I always write how he’s screwing up Star Wars, I just want to say this

New Clone Wars Posters!
It’s obvious that these posters for Clone Wars are trying quite hard to look like classic Star Wars posters. And to some extent they are successful. The connection is obvious and the style immediately recognizable.
But for me that just makes it even more painfully clear that this isn’t a real Star Wars movie. The similar styles force me to compare the cartoonish look with the usual Star Wars visuals, and quite frankly the visuals of the animation don’t really measure up.
Perhaps I’m just biase

Review: 'Indiana Jones' wields enough snap to satisfy
It has been nearly two decades, and Indiana Jones is a bit more grizzled. But his witty banter is still decidedly intact.
In Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (* * ½ out of four), he uses his wits and still-considerable brawn to fend off an atomic bomb, ruthless KGB agents, roiling rapids, flesh-eating insects and angry Peruvian natives. And he tangles again with his most hated nemesis: the snake.
Right about the time the natives get restless, however, so do we. But the excitement pi
'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull': The Untold Story
Harrison Ford keeps his own hangar at the Santa Monica Municipal Airport. Among his inventory are a helicopter, a jet, and an immaculately painted blue-and-green biplane. He's a skilled pilot, and sometimes he goes for rides between earthly appointments. Today's a helicopter day. In fact, Ford's been out choppering around on this clear, calm mid-March afternoon, touching down only now to do an interview. Wearing jeans, a navy blue T-shirt, and dark aviator glasses, he strides across the landing area so purp

AFTER the huge buzz surrounding Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford has spoken about the possibility of bringing some of his other old characters.
Unfortunately for Star Wars fans he ruled out a revival of character Han Solo.

American directors Clint Eastwood and Steven Soderbergh will headline the streamlined competition at this year's Cannes Film Festival, which features fewer big-name directors and more emerging voices from across the globe.
Eastwood will show "Changeling," a mystery set in 1920s Los Angeles and starring Angelina Jolie as the mother of a kidnapped child. Soderbergh, the director of the lighthearted series that began with "Ocean's Eleven," gets serious with his four-hour-long marathon, "Che," about Argentin
Harrison Ford Raves about Shia LaBeouf
Harrison Ford may be the movie veteran, but he knows his costar Shia LaBeouf is hot on his heels.
"He has an enormous talent," Ford said of the younger actor at a press event for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in Cannes on Saturday. "He had some very archaic skills to acquire and he worked really hard. He will be around for a long, long time."
LaBeouf, who stars as Ford's sidekick in the fourth installment of the Indiana Jones saga, said he was understandably nervous during the f

What prompted Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford to get his ear pierced?
"A semi-drunken lunch with [late 60 Minutes correspondent] Ed Bradley and Jimmy Buffett, who were both wearing rings," he tells Maxim of the 1997 decision.
"Afterward," Ford said, "I walked down Madison Avenue till I found the first jewelry store that pierced ears."

Classy Cate is the star of the Cannes red carpet as Indiana Jones finally hits the big screen
It might have been the grand return of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, but the red carpet premiere in Cannes was stolen by Cate Blanchett.

While most new mothers are still struggling to lose baby weight, the actress appeared super svelte, despite giving birth to her third child just weeks ago.
