Does Tina Fey + Sarah Palin = Emmy Award?
The only race Tina Fey lost was individual performance in a variety or music program.
Doggone It: John McCain's plans to appear ... [Sarah Palin]
Doggone It: John McCain's plans to appear on Late Show with David Letterman appear to be falling through, but the bottom half of his ticket may have finally firmed up her own late-night gig. According to Cindy Adams, vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will definitely be appearing on Saturday Night Live at the end of the month. "She has already OK'd it," Adams says confidently. "She's booked. It's confirmed. Done deal. Sketches are being sketched as we speak." Adams says we can expect Palin to cameo on

Tina Fey, ‘W.,’ and the Ten Funniest Political Impressions of All Time
Photo: Courtesy of distributorsIf you'd asked us two months ago if we were excited about two Saturday Night Live's in one week, we'd've probably have said no. But that was before Tina Fey's impression of an "increasingly adorable" Sarah Palin became the defining comment on this year's election. So now we'll be watching tonight's Saturday Night Live: Weekend Update Thursdays special, hoping for an extra dose of Feylin. Between Fey's Palin and Oliver Stone's hopefully hilarious W.“featuring Josh Br
Art Spiegelman on ‘Breakdowns’ Redux and the Dark Side of Tina Fey
Photo: Getty ImagesArt Spiegelman may now hold a rarified place among the sages of American comics — see his Pulitzer-winning Maus books, the supremely moving stories of his parents' survival of the concentration camps, in which Spiegelman imagined Jews as mice and Nazis as menacing cats. But as any comics hound knows, Spiegelman got his start in the underground scene of the late sixties and early seventies, designing Wacky Packages and Garbage Pail Kids for Topps Bubble Gum Co., and later foundi
Sarah Palin will appear on SNL as herself
The internet has been buzzing with speculation that Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin may show up in a skit on Saturday Night Live. The Alaska governor, who is rapidly becoming what John McCain hates the most- a “celebrity”- has breathed new life into the venerable sketch show, thanks to the spot-on impersonation of her by SNL alum Tina Fey. Palin has been scheduled to appear on the Oct. 25th broadcast, playing herself, and not Fey as some outlets were reporting.
SOCCER moms and Joe Sixpacks,
63 Million People Watched McCain Say ‘That One’
We had a hard time watching the whole thing, and this is our job. Did 63.2 million people — 66 million if you count elitist PBS viewers — really watch that dull sleepytime debate last night? That’s what the ratings company claims. Even more people (70 million!) watched the Palin-Biden debate, because hey, that Tina Fey is quite the comedienne! Sadly for the networks, the desperate voters who watched last night’s Obama-McCain show don’t have any money to buy any consumer items,

'SNL' spoofs second debate
Tina Fey didn't play Sarah Palin. And Sarah Palin didn't spoof Tina Fey. But last night's Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update Thursday did feature Fred Armisen as Barack Obama and Darrell Hammond as John McCain, along with Chris Parnell playing a very time-conscious Tom Brokaw, in a take-off of Tuesday's presidential debate (clip below).
Among the funniest moments had to be McCain referring to Obama as "this character here," and "Junior over there," and "pee-pants over here,&quo

But that's not...
Saturday Night Live Thursday Update: Lame W/Out Tina or Sarah
SNL's Weekend Update moved to a new spot in lieu of the upcoming elections, and last night marked the first time the precursor to The Daily Show featured a mid-week special, hosted by Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler.
Was it funny? Meh. Was Bill Murray there? Ye-op:
Blurgh. Without Tina Fey doing her Sarah Palin impression, this segment really lags. Couldn't the second presidential debate included an aside from each of the VP candidates? Then SNL would be able to do the only thing they know
The Tina Fey/Sarah Palin Phenomenon.
Everywhere you turn people have been talking about Tina Fey and her impression of Sarah Palin.
The executive producer of NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” Lorne Michaels has spoken about what he thinks of the whole thing.
“I think the gods smiled on us with the Palin thing,” Lorne Michaels said. “Like if he’d chosen Romney, I [...]

HOW DEMOCRATS ARE INDEBTED TO TINA FEY
“When it’s all said and done, and assuming the good guys prevail, a strong case will be made that Tina Fey had as much to do with burying John McCain as anyone else. Mark my words.”
When I wrote that I was thinking about the long history in this country that comedians and cartoonists have of inflicting massive, sometimes game-changing body blows to public figures through satirical portrayals…
Well, wouldn’t you know it — it looks like the “Tina Fey Effect” is r
SNL Spoofs Presidential Debate
It's no Tina Fey making us laugh/cry as Sarah Palin - in fact, you'd be hard pressed to find a Barack Obama impression that's less funny than Saturday Night Live's.But if the point of the sketch below was to highlight the absurd format and utter worthlessness of this week's presidential debate, then well done, SNL!This faux debate aired during the show's special, condensed Thursday prime-time edition last night. It's pretty good, and even includes a Bill Murray cameo.
Today's News: Our Take - Seth Meyers: "No Truth" to Sarah Palin Appearing on SNL
Contrary to rumors, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is not scheduled to appear on Thursday's primetime edition of Saturday Night Live, Seth Meyers told New York's Newsday. "Of those specific rumors, there's no truth," he said. "We do have an open door policy, but there's nothing specific yet, but our window of opportunity is before the election. We'd love to have McCain and Obama on again, too. Our doors are always open."That means we all have to wait a little bit longer before the Republican vice presidential hope

AP - It seems like the inevitable comedic summit of this fall's presidential campaign: the real Sarah Palin coming on "Saturday Night Live" to meet her look-alike impersonator, Tina Fey.
Here's What Happens When 'SNL' Does a Debate Sketch Without Tina Fey [Term Limits]
After weeks of massive ratings and huge buzz derived from its Tina Fey-as-Sarah Palin guest appearances, Saturday Night Live extended its political satire into special Thursday episodes beginning last night. So how did the Not Ready for Primetime Players weather the transition to the only NBC timeslot not currently bought up by Barack Obama?
Answer: Awkwardly! Without Tina Fey on board or even the much-rumored Sarah Palin-as-Fey meta explosion, SNL's attempt at a presidential debate skit underwhelme

Sarah Palin On SNL. But, Like, For Real!
Will we see a real Palin, fake Palin showdown?
Tina Fey is Sarah Palin. And now Sarah Palin is Tina Fey! According to The New York Post, the much-parodied Vice Presidential candidate is going to make an appearance on Saturday Night Live. Palin will appear on the October 25 episode of SNL playing...well, that's yet to be determined, but we wouldn't be surprised if she tries her best Fey on for size. It'll be a Freaky Friday kinda moment at 30 Rock. With Mad Men's Jon Hamm as host, this is one we can't miss
Sarah Palin Says “Real Women Hunt Moose”
At first you would be forgiven for thinking that this was yet another hilarious impersonation by Tina Fey of Republican vice-presidential pick Sarah Palin.
Nope.
This is the real deal.
I repeat — this woman actually has a reusable cloth bag that says “Real Women Hunt Moose”.
That she carries in public.
But hey — at least it’s green, right? I can’t believe a majority of Republicans seriously believe this woman is qualified enough to be Vice-President of the United Sta
