Stan Lee: \'Smith could be black Captain\'
Stan Lee has commented that Will Smith could be in the frame to play Captain America.
The comics creator stated that a movie based on the character, to be released in 2011, could feature the actor.
He told Moviefone: "I would love us to do something with Will Smith. It would be a real leap to make Captain America black... then again, I don't know."
Lee added that such a casting may be down to who makes it to the White House in November, as a Barack Obama victory could affect Hollywood.

Men in Black 3 Coming?... Again?
Men in black was a fantastic buddy film that took the whole cop couple to a new level by introducing aliens and a new space agency devoted to keeping pesky aliens in line as they visited and lived amongst us. There has been rumors for years of a third film and now Parade.com has a quote from the films producer saying they are still trying and that both Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones want a third film.
“ The challenge is getting the script right and finding a time when our busy stars are available,

Will Has a Birthday Cheerleading Squad (Including Carlton!)
Will Smith celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday watching his son Trey play football in LA with his family and former costar on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Alfonso Ribeiro. Will was in his element playing with his kids and giving tips to Trey while his loved ones surprised him with a special gift. Another reason for his big grin is that he just signed on for a prequel to I am Legend about the final days in NYC when the virus started to spread, though rumors of him playing Captain America are false. Monday Morning Poll: Will Smith vs. Will Smith
The first trailer for Will Smith's new flick has just arrived online, and it's called Seven Pounds ... and it was directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) ... and it definitely looks like one of them tear-jerkers. (For those obsessive, need-it-right-now folks, you can watch the trailer after the jump.) In the film, Smith plays a guy who's feeling guilty about mistakes he's made over the years, and so he decides to help change the lives of seven total strangers. In doing so, he winds up fallin

Rumor: Men in Black 3 is Still in Development Somewhere?
I'm getting quite tired of running rumors like this, but alas, it's news people want to read about. We were recently pointed towards a quote in the latest issue of Parade where producer Walter Parkes apparently comments on the status of another Men in Black movie. In response to a question about a Men in Black 3, Parkes says "the challenge is getting the script right and finding a time when our busy stars are available." But that's not all. "Everyone, including Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, wants to do an
Will Smith Is An Enigma Wrapped In Confusing Hidden In A What?
A new trailer showed up this weekend for a Will Smith drama from the director of The Pursuit of Happyness (aka The Best Director) called Seven Pounds, and it is one of the most confusing things I have ever seen.
Whoops. I think when you wrote "All Ben Thomas has is a plan" you meant to say "All Ben Thomas has is a coy smile." I've never been more confused by a movie trailer. What is this movie about? It's a stirring drama about a man whose name may or may not be Ben who goes around possibly helping but
NEW MOVIE TRAILER: WILL SMITH IN 7 POUNDS
Now here's the trailer for his December release, "Seven Pounds," a title that refers to the weight of the human heart. It features Will Smith as a guilt-ridden IRS agent who helps seven strangers while trying to redeem his own sordid past. Among them is a woman (Rosario Dawson) with a heart condition with whom he falls in love.
Is Seven Pounds The New Pay It Forward?
We learned a long time ago to always, always take Will Smith seriously. The man can do anything - fight aliens or zombies, be Ali, love German shepherds, etc. Mr. Smith is on a winning streak: last year I Am Legend made a truckload of money. Ditto last summer's Hancock (which we maintain was secretly Jason Bateman's movie, but whatever). But now we've come upon the trailer for actor's next film, Seven Pounds. The story, as far as we can tell, is about a man who did something really bad (we'll guess murderou

Will Smith's Seven Pounds Gets a Trailer, Too
In addition to the fantastic trailer for Australia released earlier today, Sony has debuted the first trailer for the follow-up to Will Smith's Pursuit of Happyness. Directed by Gabriele Muccino, Seven Pounds stars Smith as an IRS agent who sets out to make amends by helping seven strangers. As touching and heartwarming as this trailer looks, I'm completely confused.
Is Will Smith some sort of superhero who has the power to heal these strangers? Or is he giving them money? I really don't want to know wh

Movie Preview: Will Smith in Seven Pounds
It's cool that there's a new trailer out for Will Smith's upcoming heartwarming drama Seven Pounds, even if it doesn't offer much insight into what the movie is about, exactly. I turned to IMDB for a little help, so here's the plot description as found on the Seven Pounds page: "Ben (Will Smith) is an IRS agent who is depressed and guilt-ridden about mistakes from his past. He sets out to make amends by helping seven strangers. When he meets Emily (Rosario Dawson), a beautiful woman with a heart condition,
Men in Black 3 still possible?
Long running, are the rumours of Men in Black 3. But it might be that we are inching towards it actually being made. One of the executive producers says he's waiting on the script, and the two stars.
I remember liking the first film, but I can't really remember the second blowing me over. Maybe a third Will be a return to form.
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones starred in the first two Men in Black films. They played two agents of a secret organization who policed the activiti

Givin' It Up
I hate it when trailers tell you everything about a movie except the final beat, so you'd think I'd be receptive to the plot vagueness in this recently posted trailer for Seven Pounds, the Will Smith movie coming out on 12.19. But it bothered me. "What's going on here?" I was saying to myself. I got the part about Smith being shattered by something he did and wanting to help others in a kind of Pay It Forward vein, but what's the shot?
You have to search around on the Seven Pounds IMDB page -- a
Will Smith Set For 'I Am Legend' Prequel
Will Smith has been given a 40th birthday gift by Warner Bros. bosses— the chance to reprise his I Am Legend character Robert Neville in a prequel to the 2007 blockbuster.
Movie executives have greenlighted the film on the movie star's birthday, confirming Francis Lawrence Will return as the director and D.B. Weiss Will pen the script.
Smith's scientist character was killed in the last film.
And it's not the only Will Smith action/sci-fi blockbuster set for a second outing— the birthday b
Men In Black 3: Are There Any More Wacky Aliens Left? [Men In Black 3]
Rumors are flying that Men In Black 3 is out there somewhere waiting for the right funding. But seriously, do we need another one of these? Because you know Tommy Lee Jones would do it if offered a paycheck, so the chances of this flick hitting big screens are about 50/50. My only concern is, haven't we tapped out on the whole "talking pug" and "famous people who are aliens" jokes? According to producer Walter Parkes, apparently not.
Parkes told Parade Magazine that MIB3 is only a matter of time:
'Seven Pounds' Trailer Helps Everyone It Touches (Up to Seven People)
Whoops, sorry for the late start. Here's the trailer for Seven Pounds, more aggressive melodrama from the Pursuit of Happyness team of director Gabriele Muccino and dramatic thespian Will Smith. Smith did some undefined wrong in the past, and now he's going to help some people in a unmentionable way. I can't take all the vagueness and touching, Pax Network-level drama!
He's totally going to heal Rosario Dawson's heart condition and bring sight to Woody Harrelson's blind eyes, because Will Smith is a
