Don Cheadle on ‘Traitor,’ Gambling, and Getting Through Customs
Don Cheadle hasn't been onscreen since last summer, when he played limey safe-cracker Basher Tarr for a third time in Ocean’s Thirteen, and embodied jive-talking radio-history maker Ralph “Petey” Greene for the underrated biopic Talk to Me. Tonight sees the premiere of his latest film, Traitor, an espionage thriller in which he stars opposite Guy Pearce and Jeff Daniels. Cheadle sat down with Vulture to talk about his new movie, the compliments that make him blush, and why he wishes he wer
Traitor / *** (PG-13)
"Traitor" (PG-13, 113 minutes). Don Cheadle plays a Sudanese who as a boy sees his father killed by a car bomb. As an adult, he exists as a double agent between the United States and terrorists jihadists. So deep are his conflicts, and so fine is the acting, that there are fundamental doubts about which side he is traitorous to, and which side has his loyalty. With Guy Pearce, Neal McDonough, Jeff Daniels. Rating: Three stars.

Don Cheadle Turns Traitor
ComingSoon.net talks with Don Cheadle about playing Samir Horn, a Muslim torn between helping a terrorist faction and doing what's right, in his new political thriller Traitor , which opens nationwide on Wednesday, August 27.
Review: Traitor
As with most any other genre, pitching a thriller seems to go that much more swimmingly once one finds an ideal blockbuster reference point with which to do half of the leg work. It's 'Die Hard meets this', 'Speed on a that', and, when in doubt, just say the damn thing is 'Hitchcockian'.
Post-2001, the likes of TV's '24' and 'Sleeper Cell', and film's Jason Bourne franchise, have tapped into both our political climate and pop culture zeitgeist, into a globe-trotting, gun-toting fear of the here and there a
Weekend Movie Forecast: Traitor, Sukiyaki Western Django
Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce star in Traitor, a terrorist thriller conceived by Steve Martin that the Village Voice calls "uneven yet engrossing." In it, Cheadle plays an American-born mercenary who at age nine witnessed his Sudanese Muslim father die in a car bombing. When the flick finds him as an adult, he's seemingly gone from U.S. Special Ops to selling explosives to jihadists, with Pearce as the FBI agent on his tail. The Voice says, "Cheadle is stiff and self-conscious here... and he isn't helped by th

Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton Call off Engagement!
Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have officially called off their engagement. Nicollette’s rep confirmed this to People saying, “Nicollette Sheridan and Michael Bolton have amicably ended their engagement. They appreciate your respect for their privacy in this matter.”
The couple have been on and off again since 1993. In October 1995, Nicollette called off her engagement to Swedish actor Niklas Soderblom. I hate it that she is so unlucky in love it seems. Even her character Edie Bri
Review: 88 Minutes in 88 Words
Forensic psychiatrist (Al Pacino) testifies, puts away serial killer (Neal McDonough); copycat killer aims to rub out psychiatrist in exactly 88 minutes. Inexplicably shoots at him, blows up car well before time expires. Huh? Frames him for murders. Stupid, nonsensical twists. Poorly acted. Predictable mystery: Numerous red herrings; zero suspense; killer more obvious than AC/DC hook. Moshfuck of tedium.
Pacino overacts (duh); subtlety of donkey punch. Worst movie of career. Hoo-Wah! Paycheck. Buy yours

Wise Review of Space Chimps
Of course, it's easy to dismiss this as a lower-budget rip off of a real CGI animated film, but make now mistake, Space Chimps, morally speaking it one of the most deep animated films in ages. Read the full review by the independent film critic before you decide to abandon it or wait for DVD.
