Swanks manager, Jason Weinberg told People: "[She was] experiencing some discomfort and went to see her doctor, who prescribed an immediate course of action that included a brief hospitalization to remove a small, benign growth."
"Her condition has been resolved and there are no continuing health issues," added Weinberg.
Fortunately the procedure went over smoothly and she's already back home recovering.

Reuters - Actress Hilary Swank underwent surgery to remove a benign growth, and the two-time Oscar winner is recuperating from the procedure, a spokesman said on Thursday.
