Barack Obama: Within minutes of hearing the news that Barack Obama would be the next President of the United States, my mind went to a dark place: "Take that, Elisabeth Hasselbeck!" I couldn't wait to turn on The View this morning and watch the show's resident crazy cry in shame and weep for the state of our nation. Unfortunately, she threw us for a loop and acted like a classy, intelligent human being. Who knew? Bonus footage includes Sherri Shepherd crying tears of joy in response to last night's election results. It's quite sweet, actually. Full video after the jump.

Sherri Shepherd Lets Us Know How It Feels
Granted, Sherri Shepherd is the View host that purportedly thought that the Earth was flat and you could drive right off the edge. Yeah, but we'd like to forgive her for that today. Mainly because she explained today, as a woman of color, how she feels about Barack Obama winning the presidential election and how it affected her young son. Please have your Kleenex ready and afford Sherri a pass for any dumb thing she says for at least the next six months after watching this clip. As and as for the Sarah P

The View November 5th Recap: Post-Election Day of Hot Topics
I will be watching The View and doing the recap, but I thought I would publish the post early, in case you all want to comment here on the show as it is happening. Keep refreshing this page to see my recap throughout the episode. All five co-hosts were present for this post-election day show. I loved the big smile that Whoopi Goldberg had on her face at the start of the show as she said that Barack Obama won the election. She said that she asked her mom last night if she thought she would live to see

Barack Obama's first miracle: Peace declared on "The View"
Our long national nightmare is over. The political arguing has stopped on "The View." John McCain supporter Elisabeth Hasselbeck (pictured) described Barack Obama's victory as a win for the country. She cited all the new voters and added, "I haven't felt this good throughout this entire election process." Obama supporter Joy Behar joked, "So are you saying that I was right all along?" Behar and Hasselbeck shook hands as the audience laughed Wednesday. "I will jump in

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Delivers Her Concession Speech [The View]
newVideoPlayer("/The_View_Fistbump.flv", 506, 423,"");If there's been anything more contentious and exhausting than the battle to become the nation's next president, it has been The View'shigh-octane coverage of the election. Emotions still ran high on today's show, as an overcome Sherri Shepherd cried on camera about the impact of Barack Obama's victory. Before that, though, Barbara Walters turned to Elisabeth Hasselbeck and rightly noted, "All eyes are gonna be on you."Hasselbeck, dressed in a funereal bl

The View October 9th Recap: Angela Bassett
Today on The View, it was the four main hosts and no Barbara Walters. Whoopi Goldberg is sick, so she gave each of the co-hosts some hand cleanser. Elisabeth Hasselbeck said that election-itis is going around. Whoopi said that people are getting political fatigue. They showed a video of a man introducing Joe Biden at a rally and accidentally calling him “John McCain.” Elisabeth said that we can make it because we are “only one menstrual cycle away” from the election. Joy said

We Didn't Start The View Fire
Does it strike anyone else as a bit odd that the most spirited political discussion these days is coming for those five overly percolated women on The View? Sure, Bab's show has always been fun to watch, in that "what would Sex and the City be like if they were all old and didn't like each other and not everyone was white" sort of way, but never before this election show actually contained something resembling a serious political discourse that is being as closely monitered in the papes

The View November 3rd Mini-Recap
As I wrote last week, work considerations means that my recaps will not be able to be as in-depth and timely as they typically here. For today, here is the recap of the portion that I was able to watch. All five ladies were present on The View. The first topic was Halloween. Sherri Shepherd’s son Jeffrey dressed up as Moses. She chose that because they don’t really celebrate Halloween, but he had to dress up for school. Elisabeth said a boy was sent home from school in NJ for wearing a Jesus cost

Elisabeth Hasselbeck: The Greatest Hits Collection
You gotta love Elisabeth Hasselbeck. From an entertainment standpoint, at least.Whether she's hating on abortion or the morning after pill, promoting the war Iraq, or telling people when they can and can't use the n-word, The View's resident blonde, conservative motormouth never shies away from voicing her opinions.Debate over the presidential election is heating up and Elisabeth sparred again with her co-hosts over Barack Obama's ties to Bill Ayers again yesterday.Take a look at the clip below, then follow

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Hearts Obama Now!
All through the Election Elisabeth Hasselbeck has been showing her support for John McCain…and now all of a sudden Barack Obama was elected President and she shuts up. I think she should have really said what she wanted by saying she thought it was a mistake. At least it would make her more human. For someone who fought so hard for what she believed in, I think the move was weak…no matter how she said it. But, on the other hand, seeing Sherri Shepherd in tears because Obama is President is so m

ELISABETH HASSELBECK TRIES TO SMEAR OBAMA
While both John McCain and Barack Obama are seeing a resurgence of past scandals, resident Republican Elisabeth Hasselbeck tried to say that there was a difference between their controversies. She kept shouting that McCain had been completely cleared of any wrongdoing, while claiming that we still don’t know who Obama is, adding that his friendships are suspicious. The rest of the gals called her out on it, saying that Obama’s left-wing radicalist cohort Bill Ayres hadn’t done anything d

The fight bell rings one more time on 'The View'
The hosts of "The View" saved the best fight for last, launching into a vicious Election Day verbal brawl  that perhaps was one of the most contentious since the show's political "Hot Topics" discussions has made it must see viewing. With frequent referee Barbara Walters absent, the four hosts -- Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepard and Elizabeth Hasselbeck (pictured) -- pointed fingers, ripped into each other and engaged in a "greatest-hits" shouting match revivi

STAR JONES TAKES NEGATIVE, BITTER VIEW ON FORMER SHOW
The insults levied during Elisabeth Hasselbeck by luminary report readers have been zero compared to the venom spewed in her citation by former co-host as well as long-lived crook, Star Jones. “Those girls were horrible, ” Jones says in the Nov emanate of Essence repository, in anxiety to the row upon The View . The egotistical counsel, who mislaid 160 pounds in 2003 as the outcome of gastric bypass operation, additionally tells readers which she fell “into the depression” after t

Conservative Elizabeth Hasselbeck Supporting Barack Obama
The View's conservative cutie Elisabeth Hasselbeck stunned viewers today by throwing her support behind president-elect Barack Obama. Executive Producer Barbara Walters asked Hasselbeck, who campaigned with John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin, how she felt after seeing McCain/Palin go down to defeat on election night. Hasselbeck said her daughter Grace, 3, had asked her who won and who lost the election. "No one lost," Hasselbeck said she told her child. "Seriously, today is a victory for this coun

The View SNL Skit With Ben Affleck As Alec Baldwin
thought SNL totally nailed this skit. Whoopi. Spot on. Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Spot on. Alec Baldwin. Spot on. Joy Behar. Spot on. The only one that didn’t work for me was Jennifer Aniston. Ben Affleck did a great job as Alec Baldwin, accurately portraying both his attitude and the sound of his voice. But honestly, my favorite was the spoof of Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Check out the video.

Elisabeth Is Booed, Told Off By Barbara
This, ladies and gentlemen, is why I watch The View morning after morning in hopes of witnessing something amazing. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, the moron who gives Republicans everywhere a bad name, had a minor meltdown during the show's first segment today. She was so beyond help that not even Barbara Walters came to her rescue. The topic, of course, was the idiocy of Sarah Palin, which turned into another session of Elisabeth spouting off nonsensical remarks to defend her beloved McCain/Palin ticket. After

Barack Obama Bill Ayers Controversy “The View” Video (October 7)
Sherri went apeshit on Hasselbeck this morning. After the right-wing weirdo sprouted off on her daily rant against Senator Barack Obama. This time she’s yaking about Obama’s tenuous connection to Bill Ayers, a respected college professor who was a suspected terrorist four decades ago.
