NEW YORK (AP) — Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney and Alan Jackson are among the nominees for the 42nd Country Music Association Awards.
Underwood’s nominations included nods for album of the year and female vocalist of the year. Kenny Chesney, nominated for male vocalist of the year, is also nominated for entertainer of the year, along with Brad Paisley, George Strait, and Sugarland. Jackson is also nominated for album of the year.

But Kenny Chesney, who won as Entertainer of the Year last year and the previous one, is dominating the nominations. Aside from being chosen as Entertainment of the Year once again, he has seven other nominations including the prestigious Album of the Year trophy.
