SHIRTLESS OBAMA CAUSING DRAMA: People are wondering how a photographer was able to bypass security to get the shot.
*Barack Obama isn't the first presidential figure to be photographed shirtless, and likely won't be the last. He is, however, the most physically-toned U.S. leader since JFK to be caught on camera bare-chested.
But inquiring minds want to know how the photographer from Bauer-Griffin – the same California-based agency who caught Halle Berry on a movie set this month at the precise moment of her wardrobe malfunction – was able to get the exclusive

Barack Obama Says Goodbye to His Grandmother
ET has the details...Barack Obama celebrated the life of his late grandmother at a memorial service Tuesday afternoon in Hawaii. The president-elect, dressed casually and wearing glasses, scattered the ashes of his grandmother into the water. Obama’s wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia joined him on the rocky shoreline, along with a small group of other family and friends. Madelyn Dunham, Obama’s grandmother, passed away from cancer two nights before her grandson was elected president. She was 8
Barack Obama to pay big for primetime buy
Barack Obama will pay NBC and CBS almost $1 million each for the campaign’s half-hour ad buy in primetime Wednesday, Oct. 29, less than a week before the election.
According to papers available at CBS’s headquarters in New York, the campaign agreed Monday to pay $961,000 for the entire 8-8:30 pm time period. It wasn’t clear whether that was in pattern, meaning it would run across all time zones at that period.
NBC will sell Obama the half-hour time buy for $891,250 gross and $775,000 net
Obama Notes McCain’s Effort To Temper GOP Anger
PHILADELPHIA — His backers feeling increasingly confident, Democrat Barack Obama made a slight nod to his Republican rival on Saturday and asked voters to have faith in him as the next president.
Even as he criticized John McCain’s economic policies, Obama acknowledged that the GOP nominee has asked his supporters to temper their attacks on him.

Obama’s Hawaiian Memorial to Grandmother
Barack Obama’s Hawaiian family vacation isn’t just about sandy beaches and warm weather.
It’s about saying goodbye.
Barack and family held a private memorial service for his grandmother, “Toot”, Madelyn Dunham on a secluded coastline of Oahu, where they spread her ashes, along with flowers, into the ocean.
Of course, Bauer Griffin was there to take the photos, and yes, I have access to them, but will I post them? Hell no. I might post the man looking all hot on
Obama Makes Bible Pick
A press release from the Presidential Inaugural Committee reveals that President-Elect Barack Obama has selected the Bible he will use for his swearing-in:
"On January 20th, President-elect Barack Obama will take the oath of office using the same Bible upon which President Lincoln was sworn in at his first inauguration. The Bible is currently part of the collections of the Library of Congress. Though there is no constitutional requirement for the use of a Bible during the swearing-in, Presi
Barack Obama Topless in Hawaii
I think its great that he is like every other American and doesn’t wear a shirt to the beach… i mean wouldn’t we all be talking about how stupid it would look if he wore a shirt into the water…. I think people just need to mind there own business and just base him on his presidential skills. I mean he does have a family and kids, why wouldn’t he go to the beach. Is he suppose to stop all of that because he’s president? NO!!! because he is an American, he can g
Obama's sweet talk is a tale of pie
Sen. Barack Obama likes pie. Over the last three days of campaigning, it's become clear that he's given a great deal of thought to pie. He's talked about the kinds of pie he likes, about having a pie contest where he'll be a judge, and how pie fits into the larger economic difficulties of our time.
On Thursday afternoon, in Georgetown, Ohio, Obama and Gov. Ted Strickland stopped at a diner for pie. He's been talking about the visit ever since. He waxed on about his pie during a rally in Portsmouth, Ohio t
Barack Obama: Goodbye, Grandma!
President-elect Barack Obama and his half-sister Maya attend a memorial service for their grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, on Tuesday at at the First Unitarian Church in Honolulu in Oahu, Hawaii.

NYC museum avoids glib parallel between Obama, FDR
Sworn in as president in the midst of a deep economic crisis, Franklin D. Roosevelt turned his first 100 days into a swirl of action as he sought to right the sinking ship of state.
At first glance the analogy between Roosevelt in 1933 and President-elect Barack Obama in 2009 seems almost too obvious.
But at the New-York Historical Society, a new exhibition titled "A New President Takes Command: FDR's First Hundred Days" avoids overly simplified comparisons between the early stages of the Ne
Obama Attends Memorial Service for Grandmother
Barack Obama celebrated the life of Madelyn Dunham, the woman who was like a second mother to him at a private Honolulu memorial service on Tuesday.
The service held at the First Unitarian Church, was closed to the media, and Obama's aides said only that only he and his wife, Michelle, his half-sister, Maya Santoro-Ng, and her husband, Konrad, attended the ceremony. Durham's ashes were later scattered by loved ones at Lanai Lookout, the same spot where Obama scattered the ashes of his mother, S
Obama report cites no shady talks with Blagojevich
WASHINGTON – President-elect Barack Obama and two of his top aides met last week with federal investigators building a corruption case against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, accused of trying to swap Obama's Senate seat for cash or a lucrative job.
The interviews with Obama, along with incoming chief of staff Rahm Emanuel and adviser Valerie Jarrett, were disclosed Tuesday in an internal report produced for Obama on contacts with Blagojevich. The report supported Obama's insistence last week that ther
Obama, “Say It To My Face”. If You Do You are Covered Under Obama’s Plan
Obama attacked John McCain in a recent TV interview, saying “Say It To My Face”. What is amusing about Obama’s response is that it is, in and of itself, an attack. Obama has been running a negative attack on McCain from day one. For him to criticize the McCain camp for any negative comment is laughable.
Obama has attacked every facet of the current administration and made every attempt to link McCain and the Bush Administration, no matter how different those policies are and no matter
Rihanna To Perform in D.C. On Inauguration Night
What would a historic occasion be without Rihanna performing?
It doesn’t matter that she won’t be performing at THE inauguration ball for the president. But then again, neither is Beyonce.
Our girl is set to perform in Washington D.C. at one of the many authorized inauguration balls on inauguration night.
Rihanna is still honored to be asked to perform on such a historic night when a biracial man will be sworn in as the 44th president of the United States.

Barack Obama Making Plans To Green The White House
In an interview with Barbara Walters this evening, President-elect Barack Obama mentioned that he plans on “greening” the White House. Obama said he plans to sit down with the chief usher for the presidential mansion and do an evaluation of its energy efficiency. He says part of what he wants to do is show the American people that it’s not that hard to go green.
Since he already turns off the lights (and unplugs energy-wasting electronics when not in use) at his current home in Chicago, h

Obama Bores His Way to Victory
Disagreements over Tuesday night's debate winner seem to be of degree, not of kind, with Obama crowned the victor. The debate was mostly a snooze, but Obama delivered another cool performance, while McCain’s cornpone humor mostly fell flat. Blogger Alex Massie calls it "a no-score draw … And so, because of that, Obama, leading in the polls, won." The New Republic’s Jonathan Chait raves, "I have never seen a stronger performance than the one Obama gave tonight." After being criticized in p
