Four Christmases Earns $31.7 Million at the Weekend Box Office
poponthepop.com - 1st Dec 2008
Reese Witherspoon: Did you see Four Christmases with
Reese Witherspoon and
Vince Vaughn? I did, and it was hilarious. I don’t laugh throughout the entire movie of pretty much anything, but when one funny scene was finished, another one began.
You know how a lot of comedies have like one or two funny scenes? Not this one. A lot of folk also don’t think
Reese and
Vince are a believable couple - I could care less. If two people make me laugh, you could pair up
Star Jones with
Matt Damon. If it’s funny, I don’t give a shiz.
Since opening on Wednesday, Four Christmases has made $46.7 million while
Twilight had a steep drop to $31.7 million this weekend. Australia also was a big waste of money. The flick cost $130 million and brought in a modest $14.8. Ouch.
Anyway, it feels like a slow news day. Quick, Paris, shave your head, bitch!

Four Christmases Yammers To Top Of Weekend Box Office
In fact, Four Christmases has done so much better that it’s the top movie at the US weekend box office this week, beating off cultish vampire phenomenons, big-budget historical epics and dumb actioners alike.
That’s great news for Vince Vaughn and the cast and crew of Four Christmases, but don’t think that first paragraph was a compliment - just to add a little bit of perspective, here’s a list of other things that are better than Fred Claus: Bridge To Terabithia, I Now Pronounce Yo
Four Christmases, Won Thanksgiving
Americans defied the credit crunch this weekend to make the Thanksgiving holiday ultra-boffo, as they’d probably say over at Variety. Three high-profile new releases duked it out with some strong holdovers for the top spot and, when the dust had settled, one thing was clear: Vince Vaughn > vampires.
Four Christmases, the broad Vince Vaughn-Reese Witherspoon comedy, was the undisputed champ of both the three-day and five-day frames, pulling in an estimated $31.6 million and $46.7 million respectivel

Reese Witherspoon is the reason why I added a travel wear section. Here she is arriving to LAX yesterday wearing a cute black outfit with brown boots and a purple scarf. While I'm one of those people who typically don't put black and brown together, I have to admit that Reese is rocking it.

Why hasn’t Vince Vaughn promoted ‘Four Christmases’?
Reese Witherspoon hit the publicity trail hard for her comedy Four Christmases with Vince Vaughn. She’s been doing the late night TV circuit and has granted plenty of interviews. While Reese’s perma-grin has been plastered all over magazines, Vaughn has done nary an interview. He also didn’t show up to the premiere of Four Christmases in LA. There was an interview with Vince in Esquire Magazine that came out earlier this month that kept mentioning how fat he was, but apart from that I coul

The vampires were only a hot item for about a week as Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon’s surprising hit comedy “Four Christmases” easily won the box office top spot with a take of $46.7 million in the 4-day holiday weekend run.
If that estimated amount hold, it would make the comedy the third-best Thanksgiving weekend opener ever, after Toy Story 2 ($80M) and last year’s Enchanted ($49M). It’s also a best for Vaughn since ‘The Break-Up’, and it’s Witherspo
