Radiohead covers Neil Young, video + mp3
While on tour, playing in Auburn, WA, Radiohead’s Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood moved close to each other and started playing a “Faust Arp” duet, like they always do shows, however… this time Thom forget the lyrics. Anyway, after a series of jokes and ramblings around the matter, to escape this somewhat embarrassing moment, the band went on and played a beautiful cover of Neil Young’s “Tell Me Why.” Check out the video bellow as well as the MP3 version. Neil Young gets new honor -- his own spider
Iconic singer and songwriter Neil Young has had an honor bestowed upon him that is not received by many musicians -- his own spider.
An East Carolina University biologist, Jason Bond, discovered a new species of trapdoor spider and opted to call the arachnid after his favorite musician, Canadian Neil Young, naming it Myrmekiaphila neilyoungi.
"There are rather strict rules about how you name new species," Bond said in a statement.
"As long as these rules are followed you can give a new species just

Neil Young's 'dangerous' tour documented
Not every musician will make a film that features a fan facing him from a concert audience with two arms raised, middle fingers extended -- more than one fan, in fact.
Neil Young was singing protest songs on a "Freedom of Speech" tour with Crosby, Stills & Nash at the time. Ignoring that kind of nonverbal speech would contradict the message, wouldn't it?
It was an easy call. Using the nom de plume Bernard Shakey, Young directs "CSNY: Deja Vu," a film that uses the tumult surrounding CSNY's 2006 concer
Toronto and the UK. RocknRolla.
"Though it's likely to be hailed as a partial return to form after the disastrous reception accorded to Revolver and Swept Away, RocknRolla seems unlikely to refloat Guy Ritchie's reputation back to the levels he enjoyed after Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000)," writes Neil Young. "It's a predictably slick, glossy, flashy thriller - with comic overtones - set in present-day London (touted as the imminent 'financial and cultural capital of the world') competently but unexcitingly r
Shay Quillen: Pegi Young to do three shows at Little Fox
Young usually sings backup for her Rock and Roll Hall of Famer husband, Neil, but tonight, Tuesday and Sept. 25 she'll be at center stage singing her own stuff, joined by fellow Neil Young road veterans Ben Keith, Rick "the Bass Player" Rosas and Anthony Crawford. (Will Mr. Young show up and play? Could be. He did at her shows in the area last year following the release of her debut CD, "Pegi Young.") Each night features a first-rate opening act: Mariee Sioux tonight, Port O'Brien Tuesday and Howlin' Rain o
Is Neil Young headlining the Big Day Out?
Ageing rocker Neil Young could be the headline act at next year's Big Day Out music festival, if rumours on an Australian website are to be believed.

Other acts rumoured to be performing by the SMH include the Arctic Monkeys, The Ting Tings and My Morning Jacket.

Ben Folds Five Revive “Reinhold Messner” at Inaugural MySpace “Front to Back” Show
One of the highlights of the Ben Folds Five reunion show Thursday night on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill came during the band’s performance of its final single, “Army.” It’s the quintessential college-rock song in which the protagonist ponders leaving school. When Folds sang the line, “I thought about the Army — I dropped out and joined a band instead,” the packed house of college students and longtime followers let out a deafening roar of a

The singers are among the artists critical of digital sound. But Burnett has been developing Code, a high-fidelity audio system that he says will improve sound quality.

But mostly, he talked about hunger. “I want some good food,” he told Eliscu when asked what he was looking for at a festival. “I’m not that excited about seeing bands. I just want to eat lunch.” Click above for the complete intervie
