Rian Johnson’s “The Brothers Bloom” Pushed Back To Limited Release In December 2008, Wide In January 2009
After Rian Johnson’s audacious debut, Brick (a film that fans of Miller’s Crossing should give a try, as it contains significant similarities in style and substance), I started to get psyched for his follow-up, The Brothers Bloom. Bloom features a plot about millionaire grifters and stars Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody, and Mark Ruffalo.
On the /Filmcast, we had already booked the weekend to review the film in October, but unfortunately we’re now hearing from Boxofficemojo, with confirmation
'Brothers Bloom' Widely Released in 2009
The crime comedy movie starring Rachel Weisz, Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo is now slated to be released nationwide in January 2009.

Rachel Weisz talks about The Brothers Bloom
In the globe-trotting con-artist movie The Brothers Bloom, two lifelong grifters (Adrien Brody and Mark Ruffalo) devise double-crosses so fabulously complex that they begin to lose track of where real life ends and the bamboozle begins. To them, everything—identity, love, friendship, death—is a lie.
Even the film’s title is a classic bit of misdirection, because the movie isn’t really about the guys, after all. It’s about the marvelous Mark they pursue: Penelope, a basket-case New Jersey milliona
Brody, Seigner and Pataky Board Giallo
Adrien Brody, Emmanuelle Seigner and Elsa Pataky have signed on to star in Giallo, the latest thriller from Italian horrormeister Dario Argento, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film revolves around an American flight attendant who teams with an Italian investigator to search for her missing sister who has been abducted by a serial killer known only as Yellow.
The term "giallo" means "yellow" in Italian and also refers to the Italian pulp, horror and erotic genre of film and literature.

Adrien and Simon Take a Sweaty Hike
Adrien Brody and Simon Rex got their matching white t-shirts all sweaty on a hike together in LA earlier this weekend. Adrien could probably cool off a little if he lost some of that hair on his head and face, but I'm kinda enjoying the scruff so no complaints. In the past you all were pretty evenly split on whether Mr. Brody is hot or not, but there's just something about him that will always put him on my manjoyment radar. Or perhaps a Simon Rex blast from the past is more your fancy?

'Brothers Bloom' Bumped to Limited in Late '08, Everywhere in Early '09
If I know our Eugene Novikov at all, his face is like mine in that it registers somewhere between the two pictured at the right when it comes to the news that The Brothers Bloom, writer-director Rian Johnson's follow-up to his nifty noir Brick, has been bumped back from October 24th (an admittedly crowded weekend) to a limited bow on December 19th, followed by a wide release on January 16th of 2009.
When the fairly reliable Box Office Mojo first mentioned the change, I balked at the thought, but now John

Cinematical has just received this lovely exclusive poster for the new film My Blueberry Nights, starring Norah Jones (in her feature debut), Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz, Jude Law and David Strathairn.
The film, which is just exploding with beautiful colors (see poster for a small taste), marks famed director Wong Kar Wai's English-language debut -- and it centers on a young woman (Jones) who embarks on a soul-searching trip across America, running into an assortment of offbeat characters along the wa

Adrien Brody and his Spanish actress love enjoy a Miami sunset
They cemented their blossoming relationship with a sunshine-filled break to Miami in August 2006, and Adrien Brody and his Spanish actress girlfriend Elsa Pataky were once again enjoying the golden sands of the city's glorious South Beach this week.
The couple - who met while filming Manolete in southern Spain - are clearly still very much in love, sharing lingering looks as they strolled arm–in-arm across the beach before settling down to take in a romantic sunset.

Banker's foray into film pays dividends
Amara Karan was an investment banker specialising in mergers and acquisitions before exiting the corporate world for an uncertain life as an actress.
"It was a massive risk. I thought: 'Are you going to make any money?'" And she wondered if she would end up joining the thousands of others who can't make a living out of the business.
But judging from her first two movie roles, she has so far won the takeover battle.
On Thursday, Amara appears in Wes Anderson's beautifully cool and refreshing comedy
Rachel wises up to a move back home
The lure of London has proved too much for Rachel Weisz – who is moving back to Britain after five years in America.
The 37-year-old actress has purchased a stunning £3.5million house in Primrose Hill, the fashionable enclave that is also home to supermodel Kate Moss and designer Sadie Frost.
Rachel will return to the UK from New York with her fiance, film director Darren Aronofsky, 39, and their two-year-old son Henry later this month.
