Lil Wayne: That’s Right, Eminem is “The Greatest Rapper Alive,” although Lil Wayne has been saying he is for years now. According to Vibe Magazine’s fans and a multi-week online poll, Eminem was crowned the world’s top MC in a NCAA tournament style contest. 64 of todays top rappers, from Kanye West and Rick Ross, to Nas and T.I. were given brackets. Fans began voting on head-to-head matchups in July and gradually rappers were eliminated until it was Eminem against Jay-Z. Slim Shady beat out Jigga with 69 percent of the final votes, that equaled over 920,000. “It’s obviously an honor to have won the fans’ support by being voted the Best Rapper Alive,” Eminem said in a statement released Tuesday (Oct Read full story at www.drewreports.com

Akon: I'm So Paid (MP3) ft. Lil Wayne
Here's a new Akon track off his upcoming album Freedom. Lil' Wayne remains the busiest man in hip-hop with another guest spot. A milli in a week didn't slow his grind. I wonder how much he raised his guest spot price to?   The song is exactly what you'd expect from a song titled "I'm So Paid" by Akon and featuring Lil' Wayne.    Freedom is scheduled for a November 25, 2008, release on Konvict Muzik/Universal Motown. Ciara: Go Girl (Official Video) ft. T-Pain
T-Pain looks like he's in the running for most guest spots in 2008 although I expect Lil' Wayne to come out on top. It makes perfect sense they're teaming up for T-Wayne.   So this Ciara video, what's there to say? Well, Ciara does some sensual dancing by some bizarre, robotic dancing. Then T-Pain raps for a bit followed by Ciara doing more dancing.  Posted in: CIARA Rate this Track Average rating: Login

Prior to releasing the album, the duo will release a mixtape titled  The Campaign which is inspired the ongoing presidential race. Darkchild Vlog #4: Superhuman Beyoncé
We know Lil Wayne is a martian, but it looks like Beyoncé is also from another planet, according to Rodney Jerkins. The “Say My Name” producer speaks about working with the otherworldly singer in his fourth Darkchild Vlog exclusively for Rap-Up.com. “She’s not really human. She’s got like a chip in her,” says Rodney, who also drops a hint about the new midtempo track he recorded for B’s third album. Check back each week for a Darkchild update and make sure yo

Akon And Lil Wayne: Richer Than You [Poorly Timed Releases]
Just in time for the closing bell of Yet Another Bad Day On Wall And Main Streets, here's "I'm So Paid," an airy, sprawling track where Akon and Lil Wayne muse over the finer points of counting their money, buying expensive shit, and flouting the speed limit, all because they have enough cash to get their way every day. (The use of a credit card for the single's art is a nice touch, too.) It's songs like these that make me wonder if we'll be hearing about another series of Behind The Music, filled with arti

Drake - Swagger Like Us Freestyle (Look Out For This Kid)
Yon may remember Drake from his joint Ransom with Lil Wayne on it that we posted about month ago, which he bodied by the way. Ransom was hard body and if you’ve been following this blog for a while then you might have caught some early joints form Drizzy like Replacement Girl featuring Trey Songs and The City Is Mine which we broke almost 2 years ago. If you saw Lil Wayne’s performance at the VMA’s then you heard him spit a different verse from Misunderstood, that was Drake’s verse he bo
