Jimmy Smits Bounces Back From 'Cane' With 'Dexter,' Film
"I would be spinning if I told you I wasn't smarting from that," admits Jimmy Smits, speaking of the untimely demise of his first-class "Cane" drama series. The CBS show, about a wealthy rum-producing dynasty in South Florida, drew initial raves, but was struggling to pick up ratings momentum when it was dealt a deathblow by the industry shutdown.
"It's collateral damage to the writers' strike in some ways," he says. "But we got a nice up at bat, and the network did provide us with a nice launch, and I

M&M’s For Rich People…
Last week when Eva Longoria appeared on the Jay Leno show to talk about being the face of M&M's Premiums we were so distracted by Russell Brands outlandish behaviour that we failed to acknowledge this ridiculous new product. What’s next? Premium crisps? Oh hang on they already exist don’t they. So anyway, Ms Longoria launched the new M&M's Premiums yesterday with a photo call at New York Fashion Week. Seriously is then anything this woman wont put her name to? First Magnum, now this, what’s ne

Henry Story Driver was born in Los Angeles on Friday and weighed in at a hearty 9 lbs., 12 oz, her publicist Jessica Kolstad told People magazine.
Driver, 38, confirmed that she was pregnant during an appearance on "The Tonight Show" in March, when host Jay Leno remarked on her baby bump.
She has not revealed the name of the father.
Driver stars on the FX cable TV series "The Riches" with British comedian Eddie Izzard. She was nominated for an Academy Aw
'Surfer, Dude' Matthew McConaughey Does Diaper Duty
Matthew McConaughey is all smiles at the premiere of his new movie Surfer, Dude. No, it's not an autobiographical tale of Matthew's shirtless life, but I'd be willing to bet there's a lot of art imitating life taking place.
Anyways, the movie will probably serve as an education aid for Matthew who enjoys teaching his newborn son how to surf. McConaughey also told Jay Leno recently that even though he enjoys a solo surf expedition now and again, he doesn't mind diaper duty--with certain exceptions.

"Dexter" Moves to Network TV
What is this? Dexter, the eponymous Showtime serial killer starring he excellent Michael C. Hall is being broadcast on CBS? But in order to comply with network TV rules about content, they are heavily editing all the gorey scenes with blood and stuff - bullsh*t if you ask me!
Dexter is one of the greatest shows to grace our televisions in a very long time, and to "butcher" it (pardon the pun) just to reach a wider audience - well, that's crap. Leave it in its unedited glory on Showtime!
