Steven Soderbergh Has One More Che Guevara Movie in Mind
Although most moviegoers haven't even had the chance to see either of Steven Soderbergh's two Che Guevara films yet, we've already started to talk about ideas beyond both of them. The Argentine focuses on Guevara's revolution in Cuba in 1956, and Guerrilla focuses on his attempted revolution in Bolivia in 1967 and eventual death. However, none of Guevara's escapades in the Congo, Venezuela or Mexico were documented in either of the films. So when an attendee at the NYFF Q&A asked Soderbergh about Che's

Steven Soderbergh's Che Sells to IFC; The Hurt Locker to Summit
Two more major sales today from Toronto: Steven Soderbergh's Che sold to IFC and Kathryn Bigelow's The Hurt Locker sold to Summit Entertainment. Both of these sales have been causing eyebrows to be raised and are interesting choices, especially Che. As everyone should know by now, Che is a two part epic about Cuban revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara, that has been in constant debates over whether releasing both parts separately or together would be better. The Hurt Locker is an Iraq war film that has been
Steven Soderbergh’s Che Picked Up By Magnolia Pictures
Word from the TIFF via the NY Post is that Steven Soderbergh’s $60 million 4-hour-plus Che Guevara biopic, Che, has finally been picked up by Mark Cuban’s Magnolia Pictures for a U.S. theatrical release. Take note: the company has chimed in and called the deal “premature,” though no denials have been issued. If so, we’ll update accordingly.
It’s speculated online by the NYP’s Lou Lemnick and others that Magnolia will release the film—re: not films?—this

Benicio Del Toro and Steven Soderbergh party harder than Lindsay Lohan does lately
The actor/director duo of “Che,” which screened at the Toronto Film Festival, were up until 4:30 a.m. partying with lap dancers and cocktails in the VIP room of Greenhouse in that city. “Dinner started at 9 p.m., and by 12:30 Benicio and Steven had 12 girls [visit] the VIP room,” said our spy. “The dancers were pouring 360 Vodka shots in their mouths while giving them the lap dances.”

The “Ché” Man Fest
And Diosito heard our prayers by putting all the “Che” Film men together in one same party, at the Plaza Athene in New York City on October 6th. Che Guevara himself, Puerto Rican actor Benicio Del Toro, Demian Bechir, Rodrigo Santoro and Santiago Cabrera were just some of the delicious male guests.
At least we know if the movie tanks we’ll have a viewing consolation…
