Reuters - In 2007, "Hounddog" went to the Sundance Film Festival carrying a controversy that made it the hottest ticket in town, but it left that January after getting a cold shoulder from film distributors and critics. But now, "Hounddog," starring young Dakota Fanning, is howling again with Friday's debut in U.S. theatres roughly 18 months after its difficult Sundance premiere, and few people are as happy as its writer and director Deborah Kampmeier.

Even though this shot of Dakota Fanning on the set of The Runaways is fake, I’m still extremely uncomfortable looking at this. I don’t like to think of Dakota in that way. She should be running after ice cream trucks or riding pink bicycles, not standing around having vaginal blood run down her leg. Dakota Fanning & Riley Keough: On The Set Of "The Runaways"
The Runaways is the biopic about the all-girl band of that name from the 1970's starring Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie. Riley Keough plays the other Currie sister, name I don't know. Anyways, I'm assuming they were filming when these pictures were taken otherwise it must've been a pretty awkward moment for Dakota. The Runaways is scheduled for a 2010 release.

'Runaways' finds its Lita Ford
Scout Taylor-Compton (“Halloween”) has been cast in “The Runaways” alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. The pic is based on the true story of the all-girl punk band in the 1970s with Compton playing Lita Ford. The pic is being helmed and penned by Floria Sigismondi and has already begun lensing in Los Angeles. The thesp can be seen next in “Halloween 2” where she will reprise her role as Laurie Strode. The pic is set to bow on Aug. 28.
