Dancing With the Stars: See Who Flopped on Last Night's Premiere

Cloris Leachman: Cloris Leachman received a lousy 16. (Her reaction to her low score had to be censored. "They can't even add up the numbers, they're so stupid here," she seethed. She later told Usmagazine.com: "I just get caught up in the moment! What a dumb score!") See what the new DWTS cast looked like years ago. Soap legend Susan Lucci nabbed a 15, which celeb chef Rocco DiSpirito took home a pathetic 14. But the lowest score - 12 - went to comedian Jeffrey Ross, who suffered a scratched cornea after his partner Edyta Sliwinska accidentally poked him during a rehearsal Monday. Look back at crazy DWTS style. While Brooke Burke dominated the competition with a score of 23 out of 30, Lance Bass, Toni Braxton, Kim Kardashian, Cody Linley, Ted McGinle

This was combined with the votes from the callers and the results said Ross-Sliwinska got voted off Dancing with the Stars. Jeff Ross got poked in his left eye during a rehearsal on Monday. Dancing With the Stars 7: The Season Begins!
[Photo: © 2008 CTV] Last night’s Dancing With the Stars absolutely lived up to the hype. They promised us: Big vs. Small (Warren Sapp vs. Susan Lucci) Old vs. Young (Cloris Leachman vs. Cody Linley) Two Olympic gold medalists (Maurice Greene, Misty May-Treanor) Brother vs. Sister (Derek Hough vs. Julianne Hough) Husband vs. Wife (Alec Mazo vs. Edyta Sliwinska) Father vs. Son [...]

9/23 Dancing With The Stars Recap, Results, Predictions
Fantastic. As close to a 10/10 we could give without totally picking this team outright. Lacey has a way of leading while she follows and she has Lance picking up a huge number of small tricks. They were quick, fun, smiling, winners. The judges stupidly underscored at 21. This was a 24 or better. Doesn’t matter now, but we hope the judges improve. They are supposed to know what they are doing, and we would hate to see them ruin the final. This was at least an 8/10 dance. Misty May & Maksi

Dancing With The Stars: Season Premiere
Filed under: Celebrities, Dancing With The Stars, Episode Recaps(S07E01) Can you believe it? Dancing With The Stars is kicking off its seventh season. In an effort to keep things fresh, this season marks the largest cast of competitors ever. That cast also features both the youngest, and the oldest, contestants to ever appear on the show. There are winners from the Grammys, the Oscars, the Olympics, and the Super Bowl. It should make for quite a show. In another new twist, there is another new format for

Dancing With The Stars: Week 1
Filed under: Celebrities, Dancing With The Stars, Episode Recaps(S07E02) Just like that, we're back for round two. With the new season seven format, all thirteen couples returned to the ballroom Tuesday night, but only twelve of them would perform. The show borrowed a bit from the results show format as the safe couples were revealed one by one. After each reveal, that couple would perform while the rest of the dancers waited nervously. Some, obviously, more nervous than others. The second night of dancin

Cody Linley and Brooke Burke Perform On Dancing with the Stars
Dancing with the Stars” likes to tout its superlatives and firsts from one season to the next, and season seven is no different: this time, we’ve got the largest cast (13 people), the oldest star (Cloris Leachman, 82), the youngest star (Cody Linley, 18), the most nights of any season premiere (3), and the most eliminations the first week (2). The main stories of the first night were as follows: (a) the judges apparently resolved not to start the scoring inflation so early this time around, (b) Cloris

Dancing With The Stars: Erica Kane, Lance Bass And Mrs. Garrett's Cousin
Dancing with the Stars premiered last night, and Cloris Leachman ('Bev' who took over from 'Mrs. Garrett' on The Facts of Life) is totally running things. She had the geriatric cleavage, the scared-to-break-a-hip-but-still-plucky moves, and the balls to totally eff with the judges. She's a supercougar and she's going to get her claws into that trophy. Other bright spots were the glorious, man-eating, slow and sensuous Erica Kane (aka Susan Lucci) and the perky poster boy for harmless gays - Lance Bass. T

Idol Headlines for 9/18/08
Can ‘American Idol’ finally zoom ahead of ‘Amazing Race’?At the Creative Arts Emmy ceremony last Sunday I caught up with Kynt and Vyxsin — “a couple of Goth kids from Louisville,” says Kynt — whose elimination episode of “Amazing Race” will decide that show’s fate this year. That’s the one that was judged by Emmy voters — and it’s a doozie full of thrilling action as five teams compete in Mumbai, India, to thread 108 flowers into a wedd

Jeffrey Ross Cha-Cha-Cha’s out the door on Dancing with the Stars.
Comedian Jeffrey Ross didn’t get a second chance to quick step on “Dancing with the Stars.” The comedian and his professional partner Edyta Sliwinska were the first couple eliminated Tuesday from the seventh season of ABC’s DWTS. Jefferey could always blame his injury on the low score and elimination. He had to wear an eye patch because during practice his partner poked him in the eye. “What a nightmare,” he joked, waiting most of the two-hour show Tuesday night to get

his was an entertaining show. Our only complaints were that it was way, way too long, and had so many commercials we lost count. It is another show where 20 minutes of performance is countered with an hour and 40 minutes of commercials and boring filler. They could spice up the show by making it hit a bit faster and running it for only an hour. That would be more than enough time to get across these dancer’s talents, and they still would have had 2/3 of the show for filler and commercials. All th

Jeffrey Ross Sent Packing on ‘Dancing with the Stars’
No big shocker here… Comedian Jeffrey Ross and partner Edyta Sliwinska were the first couple to get kicked off this season of Dancing with the Stars. I was pretty surprised with his graciousness and humility throughout the whole thing. Unlike Cloris Leachman, he was never rude or inappropriate. On Good Morning America this morning, Edyta publicly apologized for hurting his eye and he wanted no part of the apology. He was just happy to get to be part of the show. And the producers are even going to let

Brooke Burke Earns Highest Score on 'Dancing with the Stars'
While model-actress Brooke Burke dominated the television dancing competition with a score of 23 out of 30, several of the seventh season celebrity participants began at the bottom of the pack. Television legend Cloris Leachman received a lousy 16. "All My Children" matriarch Susan Lucci was given a measly 15. And celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito cooked up a lukewarm 14. "I forgot we had a 4," quipped host Tom Bergeron of the low score paddle flashed to DiSpirito. However, the lowe

Warren Sapp, Brooke Burke, Cody Linley excel on "Dancing With the Stars," Susan Lucci improves dramatically
Sorry to shatter a sexy image, but Kim Kardashian can't shake her hips. The reality star had all the allure of a stick on Tuesday's "Dancing With the Stars." Partner Mark Ballas worked furiously to compensate, but he only made her look more a maypole. I think she's the likely goner on Wednesday's results show. Comedian Jeffrey Ross was the first ejectee Tuesday night, and he never really had a chance after suffering a scratched cornea in rehearsal. But Tuesday's performance show brought go

Surprise: Brooke Burke tops 'Dancing' crowd
Before last night's debut of Dancing with the Stars, according to BetOnline.com, odds were that 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman or insult comic Jeffrey Ross would be going home first. Both were 50-to-1 underdogs to win Season 7. And Olympic gold medal volleyball player Misty May-Treanor, who is blogging about the experience, was the favorite at 2-to-1, followed closely by Toni Braxton (3-to-1). After watching last night, however, look for model Brooke Burke to move up  with the oddsmakers. She s
