Dancing In The Streets
From Stereohyped editor Lauren Williams: At the election party I went to last night, everyone screamed, hugged, and jumped up and down when Barack Obama was declared the winner. It was happening all over the country, obviously.
Pictured above is the celebration in Harlem. Check out some other pictures from election celebrations after the jump. I slipped one of a weepy Jesse Jackson in there for good measure.

President Obama In Black And White [Race]
In 1964, a group of black and white civil rights protesters attempted to integrate the pool of the Monson Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida. The hotel's owner, James Brock, responded by dumping acid into the pool. That was considered reasonable. This year, the Obama campaign opened a field office in St. Augustine, the most organized effort ever by a Democratic presidential campaign to win the Republican county surrounding my hometown. Obama ended up winning Florida and the entire country, a far stronger rebuk

Last Night In Glorious Photos
We don't need to write a word of commentary for these photos.Just sit back and relish sweet, sweet victory... We'll break our silence to add only one thing: according to WNYC, whose photographer took the taxi photo, the guy jumped on the taxi in the middle of traffic and the drive kept driving for several minutes, honking all the way. New York City's best night ever, hands down. Some of these via Flickr: Obama family, WNYC, and cell phones. Related:This Week In Gayness: We Say No

The Dealer and myself believes Brother Jesse weeped for other reasons [cough, kick in the nuts, cough] but I will keep those thoughts to myself. What do you think Jesse Jackson was really crying over?
Eh? Not Too Sure About This One

Election Night: CNN (Part 3)

12:23: Wolf Blitzer just reminded us that this is, in fact, an historic occasion. He also assures us that the coverage will continue. I, however, will not. All in all, CNN's coverage was adequate, but pretty boring. The reason I choose CNN over the other news channels is because of the personalities. Campbell Brown, Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper usually find ways to engage and amuse me, but not tonight. Everyone was pretty straightforward and dry. What do they
