'Iron Man' Premieres For A-List Comic Book Geeks, As Robert Downey Jr., Jon Favreau Hint At Avengers Follow-Up
Tony Stark is a man who parties hard, surrounds himself with gorgeous people and knows how to keep a secret. It's no surprise, then, that Wednesday's high-wattage "Iron Man" premiere was a bash fit for the billionaire.
"The audiences are loving it, and it's gonna make big dough," Robert Downey Jr. grinned on the red carpet in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater, watching such A-listers as Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller, Pete Wentz and Diddy file inside. "Then, hopefully, we'll get to do it again."

Confirmed : Nick Fury IS in Iron Man!
I've heard from several people overnight who attended the first public screenings of "Iron Man" here in Australia yesterday evening and they all confirm one thing : Samuel L. Jackson'S NICK FURY is indeed in IRON MAN!
Adam Richard, a fellow journo, wrote in too :
"Sam Jackson as Nick Fury is indeed in Iron Man. The final spool of the film was not screened to journos and reviewers as it only arrived in Australia yesterday ahead of premiere screenings. I saw the film a few weeks ago to prep for a Downey

Check out the latest installment of 2cOrNot2c.net as the critic from movieEVERYday.com offers you up tongue-in-check info as to who should or shouldn't see this latest episode of the Star Wars Saga. Example: Who Should See it? "People who fear their own end if their Yoda-speak quota they do not soon fill." Who Should Not See it? Samuel L. Jackson Does Unthinkable
Variety reports that Senator Entertainment has greenlit Samuel L. Jackson thriller Unthinkable with Gregor Jordan (The Informers) attached to direct.
The story centers on a major threat to the United States when the locations of three nuclear devices are shrouded in secrecy by a single terrorist. With only two days before they are deployed, a black-ops interrogator and a female FBI agent have to decide how far they will go to find them.
Filming starts on September 2 in Michigan.
Samuel L. Jackson film tops box office
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Samuel L. Jackson ruled the weekend box office in North America for the second time this year with his crazy cop thriller "Lakeview Terrace," while moviegoers largely ignored three other new releases.
According to studio estimates issued on Sunday, "Lakeview Terrace" sold a modest $15.6 million worth of tickets during its first three days of release. It barely surpassed the $14 million opening for Jackson's 2006 bomb "Snakes on a Plane."
But Screen Gems, the distributor
Samuel L. Jackson Says “Oui” To Tarantino’s “Inglorious” Possibility
“Pulp Fiction” shot him to superstardom, he had a hilarious-but-intense role in “Jackie Brown,” and eagle-eyed fans might have even noticed Samuel J. Jackson behind the piano in a brief “Kill Bill” cameo. So now that Quentin Tarantino has his much-hyped script for “Inglorious Bastards” completed, and half the world has seemingly read it, will he be playing the role of African-American role?
“I called him to find out if I had to learn French or not!” Jackson laughed when we asked him t
Samuel L. Jackson, M. Night Shyamalan On The ‘Unbreakable’ Sequel That Never Was, But Might Be
Love his work or hate it, there’s no denying that M. Night Shyamalan always seems to be one step ahead of the curve with his films — from the twist no one saw coming in “The Sixth Sense,” to finding new ways to scare the crap outta moviegoers with “Signs” and “The Village.” And he was even years ahead of the current comic book movie boom (for better and for worse) when “Unbreakable” hit theaters back in 2000.
So that being said, is it time for Shy

"The Spirit" Outdoor Posters!
ComingSoon.net/Superhero Hype! today is premiering the new outdoor artwork for The Spirit, opening in theaters on January 16, 2009. It's three posters that go in a series, showing the silhouette of The Spirit!
Adapted from the legendary comic book series created by Will Eisner, The Spirit is a classic action-adventure-romance written for the screen and directed by genre-twister Frank Miller (creator of "300" and "Sin City"). It is the story of a former rookie cop who returns mysteriously from the dead a
New Photos: Frank Miller’s The Spirit
/Film reader Christopher M sent over these new photos from Frank Miller’s The Spirit, which hits theaters on December 25th 2008. I’ll admit, some of these photos look really bad ass, but I’m still not convinced due to the horrible showing Lionsgate had at Comic Con.
Official Plot Synopsis: Adapted from the legendary comic strip, THE SPIRIT is a classic action-adventure-romance told by genre-twister Frank Miller (creator of 300 and SIN CITY). It is the story of a former rookie cop who returns myste

If you missed the ending or the beginning or the middle of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008), here are the complete spoiler points for you to ponder.
Christmas gets Frank Miller's 'Spirit'
Frank Miller is feeling the Christmas spirit.
A confident Lionsgate has moved up the release of Miller's directorial debut, "The Spirit" -- adapted from Will Eisner's comicstrip -- from Jan. 16 to Dec. 25, in the heart of holiday season.
The action-adventure romance toplines Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Eva Mendes. Miller ("300," "Sin City") penned the adapted script.
EXCLUSIVE: Is Will Smith The New Captain America?
When Marvel announced that “Captain America” was making its way to the big-screen, fans everywhere began speculating who would be donning the famous red-white-and-blue tights. Nothing has been heard since, but during an MTV News interview regarding his role in “Miracle at St. Anna,” actor Derek Luke let slip that a very prominent - and surprising - face could be the star of Marvel Studios’ next blockbuster film.
“I heard they offered Will Smith ‘Captain America,’” said Luke, adding that
Movie Preview: Soul Men
After seeing a few clips of Soul Men a little while ago, I was intrigued by this comedy starring Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac (it also includes one of Isaac Hayes's final performances), which is why I was happy to recently find an actual trailer.
Everyone knows that Jackson is perfectly suited for roles in dark comedies, but to see him as one half of a straight-up buddy movie is kind of unexpected and fun. He looks quite comfortable playing the straight man here. Of course, there are pangs of
Box Office Predictions (September 19-21)
Lakeview Terrace is the thriller featuring Samuel L. Jackson and Patrick Wilson as rivaling neighbors who engage in some vicious acts to force each other out of the town. The trailer makes this film look interesting enough to attract a nice number of the mainstream audience… but I’m skipping this film simply because of its lack of depth. Of course, I could be dead wrong, but those are just my initial reaction.
My Best Friend’s Girl is the light-hearted comedy of the weekend, featuring
Samuel L. Jackson: The Lost Titanic Screen Test
This is totally what James Cameron's Titanic would have sounded like directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Samuel "mother effing" L. Jackson. Not sure why this guy is all over the Internet now, but I like it! Titanic totally would have benefited from this adrenaline shot to the eardrums! (Needless to say, languagewise, it's NSFW.)
Soul Men: Trailer
The trailer for Soul Men, which is the last film of the late Bernie Mac. The film follows two estranged singing legends (Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac) from the band The Real Deal who agree to participate in a reunion performance even though it has been close to 20 years since they last spoke. As they travel cross country in a series of adventures and misdventures, they air old grievances about thirty year old betrayals and learn the music's still in them.
