"I have been lucky enough to get my hands on the script to the new Muppet Movie a.k.a "The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time!!!" (as theyre calling it) by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller. I've read it an thought I'd pass on my thoughts.
Before I get started, I think it's helpful to get my take on The Muppets. I LOVE THEM. I have a huge place in my heart for these characters and many of their adventures. However, I feel the Muppets have been completely misused and misunderstood since Jim...
Jason Segel Close to Reviving Muppets Franchise
Actor and bromanticizer Jason Segel might seem like an unlikely candidate to bring the Muppets back to their glory days, but he's been working hard at doing it for some time now. Paste magazine catches up with the actor about getting his Muppets movie off the ground, and he told them, "The script is done. Disney has it and we’re just waiting to hear how they want to proceed. It’s a big decision for them to relaunch a franchise." If all goes smoothly, he promises to bring the crew...

Muppet Show NEW!
OH KERMIE-E-E! The Muppet Show is returning to TV! A new Muppet Show is coming to television with new force Jason Segel, speculates reports.
The Jim Henson Muppets were last on television 27 years ago. And how old is Segel? 28 years old.
OH MY!
Segel is reportedly very popular among Muppet fans.
A source tells British press: “Jason [...]
The Muppet Show To Return To Television With More Dick And Weed?
I've got a little bit of good news, mixed with a little bit of really weird news. The good news is that there's a chance The Muppet Show might return to television. According to the Telegraph (via BuzzFeed):
The Jim Henson-created characters may be on their way back thanks to a new Disney Film.
In the movie, written by Forgetting Sarah Marshall star and writer Jason Segel, the Muppets reunite to save their studio with one last variety show.
Should the film go well, it opens up the possibility of a tele
Romantic comedy
At first, this doesn't look like a barrel of laughs as our loser hero Peter (Jason Segel) is broken-hearted and downright miserable having being dumped by a famous beauty after five years together.
Ex, Sarah (Kristen Bell) is famous for her role as a screen detective (cue a
funny CSI-ish spoof) and he learns that she's now with British pop singer
Aldous Snow (Russell Brand).
To get over her, he heads to Hawaii -- but Sarah's there with her new flame,
while the desk clerk (Mila Kunis) takes

People tell Jason Segel he’s ‘a more attractive version of Brad Pitt’
Is anyone else considering going to see I Love You Man this weekend? I’m thinking about it, because these hilarious Paul Rudd and Jason Segel interviews keep coming out. I want Paul Rudd to be my fey, dancing man friend . And I want to date Jason Segel and his forty puppets . The movie’s getting pretty solid reviews, and it has great buzz, so it will probably be the box office victor this weekend.

Win 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' on DVD
You can point at me and call me names if you like, but I
think
Forgetting Sarah Marshall is the best of the
Judd Apatow
comedies. As funny as Superbad is, there's a lot of wasted time in that
movie, and the same thing goes for Knocked Up and 40-Year-Old Virgin.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall, on the other hand,
doesn't have much fat to trim at all. Granted, at its funniest it isn't as funny
as the best moments in Superbad, but over the long haul, I found it more
entertaining. So I was dee-lited t

Nicolas Cage: Love Him or Just Tolerate Him?
Did you see any of the three big studio releases this weekend? Early box office returns indicate that Alex Proyas' apocalyptic science-fiction drama Knowing drew larger audiences than John Hamburg's bro-mantic comedy I Love You, Man or Tony Gilroy's clever Duplicity. Putting it in star terms, it looks like Nicolas Cage beat out the teaming of Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, as well as one-time box office champ Julia Roberts and Clive Owens. But did audiences flock to Knowing because of Nicolas Cage,...
Spin-ematical: New on DVD for 9/30
Iron ManAt the risk of drawing the ire of Batfans everywhere, I'll just come out and say it: Iron Man is the best my favorite superhero movie of the year. (Dear Comic-Con: Please don't revoke my press pass.) Dark Knight is indeed brilliant, and brilliantly dark, but Iron Man is just so much more ... fun (AND it has social messages!). Poor Jeff Bridges may not hold a candle to the late Heath Ledger in the villain department, but Iron Man wins out elsewhere. Its characters are colorful and layered, its action
Box Office: Nicolas Cage's Knowing Is No. 1
The special effects thriller Knowing handily won the box office over the weekend with an estimated $24.8 million. Meanwhile, Paul Rudd and Jason Segel's comedy I Love You, Man came in second place with an estimated $18 million, followed by Duplicity, starring Clive Owen and Julia Roberts, at No. 3.Race to Witch Mountain slid to No. 4 after winning the top spot a week ago, while Watchmen continued its free-fall to the fifth spot, earning a total of $98.1 million since debuting three weeks...
Awesomely Baseless Rumor: ‘The Muppet Show’ Possibly Returning to Television
It's the least interesting day of the year's slowest news week and so we turn our attention to another poorly sourced, certainly untrue rumor from the Telegraph (who seem to be the masters of that sort of thing these days). According to "a source," if Jason Segel's in-development Muppet movie turns out a success, a new version of The Muppet Show could maybe find its way to television. "If the movie script is popular, Jason will write the TV series too," says the unnamed, possibly nonexistent person to which
'Knowing' leads 'I Love You, Man' and 'Duplicity' in tight box office race
Nicolas Cage's Knowing jumped out to an early lead at the weekend box office, grossing $9 million on Friday. The sci-fi flick thus has the inside edge to win a frame that is living up to expectations as a closely fought contest between three big new releases. Of those competitors, the R-rated Paul Rudd-Jason Segel comedy I Love You, Man fared well, earning a solid $6.4 mil on Friday, while Julia Roberts' rom-thrill Duplicity was a bit soft, with $4.7 mil. Reigning champ Race to Witch Moun
Paul Rudd "Feels Pretty Gay"

Judd Apatow Blu-ray Film Fest: Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up
The delivery came. 3 Blu-ray upcoming releases from the Judd Apatow comedy factory – this latest hits Forgetting Sarah Marshall, 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. First up was Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which I hadn’t seen in the theaters. The other two, of course, I’ve previously caught on DVD and on the big screen.
I didn’t expect to like this flick, but wow, I had a blast. Most of us are probably fans of the shows that make these actors familiar to us (Freaks & Geeks, Veronica Mars, How I
