Emmys ratings hit all-time low
The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards on ABC generated the smallest audience ever for TV's yearly honors. Facing competition from football and the last game at Yankee Stadium, the Emmys averaged 12.24 million viewers, according to preliminary Nielsen statistics. The numbers could creep up when nationals are released Tuesday. The previous low was in 1990, when the Emmys were watched by 12.299 million viewers on Fox. Sunday's Emmycast was hampered by an opening that critics considered disjointed. Also, many o

I Missed The Emmy Awards!
The annual Emmy awards were on a couple of nights ago and i totally missed them! The question is, did i miss out on anything? Most would reply with a huge 'NO'! Every year the event is kinda' the same and there's nothing really new. The important thing to know is who won what and how many!? Oh! There's another thing, the red carpet arrivals are also interesting, because there's bound to be a few fashion disasters! (I'll be writing about this in the following post!) So, who were the big winners at the

Live from the Emmy Press Room: Glenn Close
Glenn Close gave one of my favorite acceptance speeches of the night when she won her Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and she was just as gracious a few moments ago in the press room. "It really is the ride of my career," she said of playing Patty Hewes on Damages. "To have this magnificent part that is as good as any part you would find in a feature film, and to develop her and have it evolve with such an amazing ensemble of writers . . . I'm thrilled." Close also talked about the

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Emmy winner Jeremy Piven wasn't the only one talking about bombs at the 2008 Emmys -- but this bomb wasn't the awkward opening with the show's five host -- word of a possible bomb scare during the red carpet had nominees hoofing it to the Nokia Theater. We Didn't Watch The Emmy's, Here's What We Missed...
It was a historic night for the Emmy's, and we're pretty sure no one, including us, saw any of it...Due to the usual record-breaking low ratings this show gets, it was probably lost on the country that Emmy history was made by Don Draper and the rest of the "Mad Men," who took home the Best Drama prize for AMC. This marks the only time a basic cable show has won a "Best" Series award.Other highlights, according to sources who actually witnessed the program:1) Ed McMahon sai
