Whether you plan to blame a shoddy TiVo or your own case of amnesia for missing the brilliant first season of "Samantha Who?" you can save the lies, because - good news! - the entire first season is out on DVD today.

Fantasy Casting: Who should star in the umpteenth US "Absolutely Fabulous" remake?
As you might have noticed, adapting other countries' hit shows is the big trend these days, what with the Kath and Kims the Worst Weeks and the modern-day cops getting ready to relive the bicentennial and what-not. Sure, that road may include failures like Coupling, Teachers and Viva Laughlin, but those failures feel almost worth it when the same road leads to gems like Ugly Betty and The Office.
And now, American producers are turning their eye once more to one of the most popular British comedy series i

The Emmy Awards: Winners And Losers
No matter how lame and rushed the three-hour Emmy broadcast was, we'd happily watch it again just to see Tina Fey keep winning. Our favorite crush saw her 30 Rock receive seven awards, including Best Actress in a Comedy Series and Best Comedy Series. Good thing she was seated in the front row!
Ms. Fey wasn't the only Emmy darling: Mad Men, a shocked Bryan Cranston for Breaking Bad and a totally deserving Jean Smart for Samantha Who? were among the nights big winners. In case you didn't stick with the sho

Stick The Knife In Deeper
In 1995, there was this show called "High Society" that starred Jean Smart and Mary McDonnell as a couple of rich Manhattan socialites. I was excited for this crap because it was unofficially called the American "Absolutely Fabulous." There was nothing fabulous about it. It was like AbFab on life support. Awful. Obviously, the dumb fucks in Hollywood didn't learn from "High Society's" failure, because they are planning another American version of AbFab. Aim for the wastebasket when you barf.
