Applegate told host Ellen DeGeneres on Friday's show that "I went back to work for about five weeks right after the second surgery," but didn't tell anyone (save her close friends) about her diagnosis, reports People magazine.

"She is doing well. How wonderful it is that, because of what happened to her, people are becoming more aware," he told Usmagazine.com Wednesday at the Building a Greater LA benefit for Habitat for Humanity.
"She is stepping out. She was on Oprah. She is making an effort to make everyone aware of everything that she learned from this - how to prevent and save lives," Schaech said.

The roses Christina Applegate crafted from ribbons while she was recovering from her mastectomy earlier this year are to be auctioned off for her cancer foundation.
