Somebody dug Chevy Chase out of the grave for the sole purpose of putting him on MSNBC's Morning Joe to comment on Tina Fey's depiction of Sarah Palin. Here's what he had to say:

Chevy Chase said Monday he wants Tina Fey to go "even harder" on Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin than she did in her "Saturday Night Live" skit this past weekend ... and that he wants Fey to "decimate" her.

PULASKI, Tenn.---- Gregory Mcdonald, whose best-selling ''Fletch'' mystery books also were made into films, has died, according to his manager. He was 71.
Mcdonald died Sunday at his antebellum farm in Pulaski, Tenn., about 60 miles southwest of Nashville, according to Mcdonald's manager, David List. List said Wednesday that Mcdonald had been diagnosed with cancer.

Gregory Mcdonald died on Sunday at age 71 in Pulaski, Tennessee. Mcdonald is best known as the best-selling author of the Fletch book series, which was later adapted into a feature film series starring Chevy Chase. Mcdonald’s Running Scared and The Brave were also adapted for the big screen. Mcdonald had 26 published books and won the Edgar Allen Poe Award twice. Before writing the Fletch novels, Mcdonald was a journalist for the Boston Globe. He is survived by his wife, Cherlye, and five children.
