Candice told PEOPLE Wednesday. "He was upset about the breakup. It's always hard when you lose a relationship."

Carrie, too. They're dolls and they'll both do well."
Candice is certainly doing her best to distract her bummed-out brother. Next week, she'll compete in the Miss USA Pageant at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino – and
Crawford, 23, will be there to cheer her on.
"The whole family will be there rooting for me,"
Candice, a.k.a. Miss Missouri, said at On Top Of Cloud 9, a dinner for the pageant contestants. "My mom made T-shirts and little pins for everyone."

The American Idol winner, 25, and the Gossip Girl star, 22, had been dating since last July, but did not go public with their romance until October.

Intimate details of Sir Paul McCartney's multimillion-dollar divorce from Heather Mills will be made public by a High Court judge.
Mr Justice Bennett has warned McCartney he is planning to make his judgment public because of the "overwhelming interest" the divorce case has attracted.
Sources close to the case have said they expect Ms Mills, a former glamour model, to receive between $40 million and $60 million - a huge sum but still far less than some estimates.

Heather Mills is set to pocket ÂŁ25million ($50 million) in her divorce from Sir Paul McCartney.
The settlement - which roughly works out at ÂŁ4million ($8 million) for every year the pair were married - is laid out in court papers sent to the former couple and their legal teams this week.
The official verdict is set to be handed down on Monday, according to a newspaper, although if it is not known if the sum includes provision for the couple's daughter Beatrice.

Country singer Carrie Underwood, who kicked off her career winning Fox Television's "American Idol" contest, will be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, officials announced on Tuesday.
