Lakeview Terrace Review
The Neil LaBute-directed thriller Lakeview Terrace revolves around Chris (Patrick Wilson) and Lisa Mattson (Kerry Washington), a young married couple who have the misfortune of moving in next door to widowed LAPD officer Abel Turner (Samuel L. Jackson). Abel soon takes a set on them, initially because they're a mixed race couple but then after his children spot them making love in their pool.
Jackson's 'burb is disturbed in 'Lakeview Terrace'
You know the look: that laser-like glare that makes Samuel L. Jackson one of the most imposing figures in film. He turns on the high beams in the just-released thriller "Lakeview Terrace," in which he plays intolerance with a twist. He's a Los Angeles cop who sees red when an interracial married couple (played by Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) moves in next door on his cozy suburban cul-de-sac.

LAKEVIEW TERRACE Review
If Samuel L. Jackson was my next door neighbor, hell I’d chill with him every day after work, I’d be flattered if he called me a mothaF*cka but Sam Jackson in this movie is the kind of neighbor from hell nobody wants to have around. LAKEVIEW TERRACE is a movie that’s… more than just about disturbance in the surburbs. It touches on issues of interracial couples, and the prejudice or stereotype people have about it. The movie brings up issues that unfortunately some people have at the

Review: Lakeview Terrace

At one end of his career, Neil LaBute was an up-and-coming talent to be reckoned with. He earned a reputation as intelligent Mamet-like artist of uncompromising vision with movies like In the Company of Men and Your Friends & Neighbors, harsh, cynical films that looked under the rock of humanity and found icky, squirmy things. At the other end, there's The Wicker Man, a genuine, "what was he thinking?" movie, and the curious dud The Shape o
