John McCain: WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The race for the White House is being waged in the final weeks in American living rooms through a blitz of negative campaign commercials. Both Sens. John McCain and Barack Obama are throwing large amounts of money into TV ad campaigns this year. And though the Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign circulated a University of Wisconsin Advertising Project study earlier this week indicating all of Sen. John McCain’s ads are negative compared to just 34 percent of Obama’s, both campaigns are spending about equal amounts on attack ads. FRANK RICH: MASTER OF THE MOMENT
The NY Times Opinionator writes a devastating piece about the McCain-Palin campaign’s attempts in recent weeks to ”brand [Obama] as a potential killer and an accessory to past attempts at murder.” “By the time McCain asks the crowd ”Who is the real Barack Obama?” it’s no surprise that someone cries out ”Terrorist!” The rhetorical conflation of Obama with terrorism is complete. It is stoked further by the repeated invocation of Obama’s middle name b

I don’t usually chat about politics
But this video really got under my skin. I have not talked about my particular vote in this election or who I believe or don’t believe. I post little random tidbits because quite frankly I feel everyone should be allowed to vote for who they think would do the best job possible. But then I see a video like this and it really disturbs me. No wonder our Country can not move forward because a lot of people are still living in the past. I feel very strongly that if we don’t learn from the past

Obama knocks on doors, surprises voters
Barack Obama jetted back to Ohio today to spend three days preparing for his final debate with John McCain. But before he holed up with his advisers, the candidate began knocking on doors in Holland, Ohio, making his way through a neighborhood of modest ranch and split-level homes. His move to the Toledo area comes as a new Ohio Newspaper poll puts the race at a dead heat, 48-46 for McCain. That's tightened considerably since the group's September survey had Obama down six points, 48-42. Sue Sekel, a 43

Though SNL is denying reports that Sarah Palin will join the program on October 25, the Associated Press is now reporting that John McCain, who ditched David Letterman to "suspend" his campaign and save America, will have a chance to make up with the Late Show host, who was none too happy with McCain's last-minute withdrawal from the program on September 24.
