The Playlist's Least Anticipated Films Of 2009
We wanted to subtitle this feature Cockpunching Your Brain Into Next Year: The Films Of 2009 Probably Destined To Make Us Unintentionally Laugh The Most. But you know, we mostly digress, but if you really want to see some of the year's worst films look no further than what's coming out this month in January: The year's dumping ground for unwanted films (and in some cases February, too). McG made his first stop in New York with his Terminator Salvation roadshow, following in the footsteps of Mosters Vs. Aliens, Watchmen and Star Trek, all of which also have traveling press events to show off new footage, props and give online journos access to the director. There were some spoilers, there was a T-600 in the room, and some folks got to see a Harvester in action…

He said they were still trying to figure out what to do, but one option they came up with was to have Sarah Connor do a voiceover to open the movie. We didn’t press him on this idea he tossed out, but we’re now wondering whether maybe he

McG Warns of a Terminator Salvation Twist Ending
Besides learning who has the bigger robot -- Transformers or Terminator Salvation -- the recent Terminator screening held some other big news. io9 reports that director McG spoke after the screening about the movie's twist ending, denying that one rumored twist was true, but did say the real ending may "piss off a lot of people."
What may make Terminator fans undeniably happy, however, is the rumored return of Terminator star Linda Hamilton. ComingSoon.net reports that McG mentioned having Sarah Connor rec

Forbidden Science Creator Tells All About Clones and Sex Droids [Interview]
It was Doug Brode's last day working on design for props and weapons on JJ Abrams' Star Trek film. And then he got the call: Cinemax had just greenlit his series, Forbidden Science. The sexy, late-night series is a low budget mashup of Flash Gordon campiness and contemporary posthuman scifi of the sort you might expect from writers like Charles Stross or Cory Doctorow. McG is already starting to put the word out (to the press) that he's interested in casting science fiction's most bankable actor in the role for young Nemo in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.After the NYC screening for Terminator Salvation, McG apparently got a bit chatty to a group of reporters about his next picture:The character [Captain] Nemo in this film is more about obsession. He is obsessed, and people tend to forget that when you become so obsessed you end up being the villain. Man, I’m trying to g
