Annual Network Presidents Luncheon Remains in Question
Bill Clinton: New York's New Senator?
There is a movement afoot in New York political circles to make sure that if (okay: when) Hillary Clinton accepts the post as Barack Obama's Secretary of State, that her Senate seat is filled by hubby Bill.
"He'd be the perfect person to fill out his wife's term," a source close to the power couple told RADAR. "It's all in the 'talking' stage now, but when things do happen they'll happen quickly."
The move wouldn't be unprecedented for a former President. The 6th U.S. Chief Executive, John Quincy Adam

The Democrats are returning to Washington. Now MTV is trying to take back its place in the sun at the presidential inauguration.
Sixteen years ago, MTV’s Rock ’n’ Roll Inaugural Ball for Bill Clinton—featuring the Eagles, Don Henley and U2, among other performers—became one of the year’s hottest inauguration tickets, attracting not only the new president but the new vice president as well as the crème de la crème of Hollywood.
As in 1993, the “Be the Change Inaugural Ball,” celebrating

Obama Bores His Way to Victory
Disagreements over Tuesday night's debate winner seem to be of degree, not of kind, with Obama crowned the victor. The debate was mostly a snooze, but Obama delivered another cool performance, while McCain’s cornpone humor mostly fell flat. Blogger Alex Massie calls it "a no-score draw … And so, because of that, Obama, leading in the polls, won." The New Republic’s Jonathan Chait raves, "I have never seen a stronger performance than the one Obama gave tonight." After being criticized in p
Debate Liveblog III: Townhall Without Pity
Karen Tumulty, Michael Grunwald and I will be liveblogging tonight's debate again at the usual address. Learn it, bookmark it, live it.
As you know, tonight's debate will be a townhall, a format that allows for back-and-forth with voters, intermingling among candidates and questioners, and freewheeling exchanges. Oh, actually: it will allow for none of those!
By agreement of the two campaigns, there are to be no followups. No reaction shots of audience questioners. (This last, presumably, is to avoid
SRK’s ‘big’ patch up with Bachchan’s!
SRK reportedly extended the olive branch and patched up with the Bachchans at the premiere of ‘Drona’ recently. The buzz is that nobody expected to see SRK there and that too with his entire family- wife Gauri and kids in tow! He warmed up to Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan and even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan! Now everybody knows how things between SRK and Ash turned bitter six years ago when he replaced her with Rani Mukerji in his movie ‘Chalte Chlate’ after her then boyfriend
Esquire crowns Halle Berry ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’— Really?!
In an article posted on Tuesday on the magazine’s website (www.esquire.com), Berry poses in a parody of a 2000 cover photograph of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, and writes about what she thinks of winning Esquire’s annual honor for the first time.
“Well, I don’t know exactly what it means but being 42 and having just had a baby, I think I’ll take it,” Berry wrote.
Esquire said it dressed Berry in a racier version of Clinton’s suit jacket and blue tie to recr

Who Will Write This Year's 'Making of the President'? [Books]
Honestly? We'd rather read a book-length history of the Hillary Clinton campaign written by Josh Green than read another word about McCain and Obama. But let's take a look at the people currently working on their own novelistic takes on the waking nightmare that has been 2008 thus far!
The Observer reports on the contenders:
Michael Takiff, on oral historian. He's writing a Bill Clinton biography (though maybe it's been shelved). He's a Nation-contributing lefty, who once also tried to write a book about

Your Grievance For the Next Four Years: "Voter Fraud" [Predictions]
If the Democrats pull this off and win the presidential election, the Republican "noise machine" will not simply give up and devote themselves to charity. They will need to undermine and delegitimize President Obama as much and as loudly as possible, non-stop, for the entirety of his term. Early predecessors of this strategy include claims that John Kennedy stole the 1960 election with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's corrupt machine and reminding everyone that Bill Clinton didn't win a majority of the vote i

Obama’’s mentor says choosing Hillary Clinton very worrying
Chicago, Nov.26 (ANI): A mentor of US President-elect Barack Obama has described as very worrying the latter’s preference for Hillary Clinton as the next Secretary of State.
Abner Mikva, a former federal judge who was Bill Clinton’s White House counsel, told The Times that the choice of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State worried him because of her husband.
Although not a member of the White House transition team, Mikva was once one of Obama’s most powerful patrons in Chicago, and is t

Eqquire’s 2008 Sexiest Woman Alive: Halle Berry
Men magazine “Esquire,” had crowned actress Halle Berry as their 2008 Sexiest Woman Alive. She’s in the cover for the magazine’s November edition, looking -of course- sexy with a black suit a bit opened and a blue silky tie. Her pose and outfit in the cover is a re-creation of 2000 cover photograph of former U.S. President Bill Clinton. Uhuh, definitely sexier. The cover is made special by Esquire, to celebrate its 75th anniversary.

Chicago Tribune: Hillary Clinton, Keep her Out of the White House
Chicago Tribune - It seems that virtually every Barack Obama supporter that I have spoken with over the past year believes that Hillary Clinton -along with her husband Bill Clinton- would have preferred that Obama lose to John McCain so as to pave the way for her Presidency in 2012. And they believe that the Clintons worked behind the scenes toward this end, despite their public support for Barack Obama. I believe that it is highly likely that Barack Obama himself shared this viewpoint. The widely held beli
