Lil Mama Blames Jive For Low Sales, "The # Of Albums They Shipped Out Shows Their Prediction"
Lil Mama's debut album Voice of the Young People barely made a sound when it hit the charts at No. 25, selling just under 19,000 copies last month. But the young femcee is loud and clear about what the problem was and adamant that it'll be fixed the next go round.
SOHH caught up with the pint sized rapper and got the word on all her latest projects and why her first foray was an admitted flop.
"I was definitely disappointed with the numbers," she told SOHH about her sales figures.

This week's biggest airplay gainer, Lil Wayne's "Lollipop" featuring Static Major, follows suit, gripping No. 2 for second week. Lil Wayne hits No. 1 on singles chart
Rapper Lil Wayne scored his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart Thursday with "Lollipop," the first release from his highly anticipated album.
Lil Wayne has made 20 appearances on the Hot 100 since 1999, most of which have been via collaborations. As a lead artist, his previous best showing was with "Go D.J.," which peaked at No. 14 in November 2004.
His album, "Tha Carter III," has shifted release dates on numerous occasions and is now expected June 10.

Sean Combs has started using his Puff Daddy namesake again – over a decade after he achieved stardom with the moniker.
