Seth Rogen: You'll find the following alternate ending on the DVD for Pineapple Express, starring Seth Rogen and Golden Globe nominee James Franco.

I'm not saying it's a legitimate deleted scene - because, really, I'm calling bullshit - but at least they did something with the DVD. There's nothing I hate more than when you wait for a DVD because you know the extra features are going to be great, and then when you get it, it's like the French language track, trailers, and a commentary by an associate producer and a guy from the props department. Lame.

Speaking of endings, I love the last scene in Pineapple Express at the diner. That's some of the film's funnier stuff, as far as I'm concerned.

Ray Romano Has A Cameo In Funny People?
Judd Apatow's Funny People will feature a lot of people pretending to be stand-up comics-- Seth Rogen and Eric Bana among them-- but they've also promised cameos from some real-life comics that everyone will recognize. While out promoting Paul Blart: Mall Cop, Kevin James admitted he won't be one of the featured cameos, but he did tell us exclusively who might be taking part. "I think Ray Romano's in it," James told me, after explaining why he won't be part of it-- at least not a big part of

Aziz Ansari, Comedian
We've been big fans of Aziz Ansari since he first hit the comedy scene all those years ago, and it seems like since then he's been speedily checking things off his To-Do list. He launched off the stand-up stage to get his own MTV series (Human Giant), is now in an anxiously awaited spin-off of The Office (he clears up the plotline below), and he's been busy filming movies with the likes of Seth Rogan and Paul Rudd. Not too shabby. This weekend he returns to New York, after moving out to Los Angeles—ca

More Maxwell Coming Your Way In Get Smart 2 [Get Smart 2]
After the good-not-great performance that Get Smart did at the box office — combined with it being one of the only comedies without Seth Rogen in it — it was only a matter of time until the WB locked down Steve Carell for another Smart movie. According to the trades: "The studio is mobilizing a sequel for Carell to return as Maxwell Smart." Plus Carell has a development deal, so he may have more wacky films in the pipeline. As long as they're more like Smart and less like Evan Almighty. [Variety

Is A Comedy About Cancer One Step Too Dark?
This weekend saw news of a new comedy on the way from Seth Rogen: a comedy called I’m With Cancer. The film is based on an autobiographical screenplay by Will Reiser, who beat the disease in his twenties, and who worked on Da Ali G Show and Best Week Ever. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story, produced by Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Ben Karlin, will focus on a 25 year old man who discovers he has cancer. As comedies go, that’s a pretty dark idea right there. And I’m not sure if i

Trailer Cache: Defiance
One of our favorite moments from Knocked Up happens towards the beginning, when Seth Rogen explains to his friends why Munich is such an awesome film: "That movie has Eric Bana kicking ass. Every movie with Jews, we're the ones getting killed. Munich flips it on its ear. We're capping motherfuckers." With that in mind, allow us to present to you the new trailer for Defiance, which Variety has exclusively posted as a post-Jewish New Year treat.
