Observe and Report to Premiere at SXSW
It’s just been announced that the Seth Rogen comedy, Observe and Report, will have its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival on March 16, 2009. The flick was written and directed by Jody Hill (The Foot Fist Way).

Seth Rogen in for ‘Cancer’ comedy
Mandate has picked up “I’m With Cancer,” a comedic autobiographical spec written by Will Reiser that Rogen will produce with his writing-producing partner Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin (”The Daily Show With Jon Stewart”).
Rogen also will have a supporting role in the film.

Seth Rogen will produce I’m With Cancer, an autobiographical based on the experienced of Will Reiser, a producer on HBO’s Da Ali G Show and VH1’s Best Week Ever. Reiser’s spec script tells the story of a 25-year-old who learns he has the disease. Rogen will not however play the lead, but will instead have a supporting role in the film. Mandate Pictures is fast tracking the project, and will begin searching for a director later this month.
