âMilkâ Trailer: Gus Van Sant Renews Our Faith in Great-Looking, Oscar-Baiting Biopics
Tagline: "You got to give 'em hope."Translation: We suppose 2008 may yet warrant on Oscar ceremony. The Verdict: This expertly cut trailer for Gus Van Sant's forthcoming Harvey Milk biopic offers possibly our best indication so far that this fall's cinema might include a few gems among the strike-affected rush jobs and Judd Apatow ripoffs. With Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsch, and James Franco, we're not sure where exactly Van Sant could've gone wrong, but we're glad to see he apparently didn't. Apologi

Gus Van Santâs "Milk" - Preview & Trailer
Josh Brolin has two movies coming up this fall — both with a political bent. They both look great, but I’m looking forward to Gus Van Sant’s “Milk” more than Oliver Stone’s “W.” Yeah, I know that’s based mainly on the trailers, but I’m also a huge Sean Penn fan.
In Milk, he plays Harvey Milk, a gay San Franciscan who ran for public office in the 1970s, becoming the first openly gay candidate elected to a major public office. It was all very cont

tMF FAST FORWARD: More Cast To Join James Franco In 'Howl'!
James Franco is more than just a villain or a supporting actor as some might think he is. While he plays second lead to Tobey Maguire in the Spiderman franchise, a number of upcoming projects may put Franco in a much brighter spotlight. Aside from Milk, where he's part of the terrific ensemble cast, he's also in another high-profile film called Howl.

I Believe in Harvey 'Milk' Trailer. Get It? It's Like Harvey Dent
Harvey Milk was the first openly gay man elected to a public office in the U.S. (though some of the Founding Fathers seemed a bit iffy at times).
