Foo Fighters Claim “My Hero” NOT Actually About John McCain
The Foo Fighters would like the world to know that their hit song “My Hero” had or has nothing to do with current Republican Presidential candidate John McCain. They feel the need to tell you this because, it seems, McCain has been using their song at his rallies, without the permission of The Foo Fighters. And how did I find this out, you might be asking? Well — other than my constant text messaging with Dave Grohl — my inbox was on The Receiving End of an e-mail from their publi

The Foo Fighters Would Like John McCain to Stop Comparing Himself to Kurt Cobain
Poor GOP—it just can't nail down a campaign song. John Mellencamp and Jackson Browne both told McCain to stop using their songs, then Heart slapped the Republicans with a cease and desist order for the unauthorized use of "Barracuda" to describe the Pitbull in Lipstick. Now the Foo Fighters would like John McCain to stop comparing himself to Kurt Cobain. True, they were both beautiful in their twenties, and one is dead and the other will probably be dead in a few years. That is where t

Foo Fighters, Beck Give Summer Festival Season a Rocking Send-Off at Austin City Limits
Austin City Limits marks the finale of summer festival season, and perhaps as an homage to sweltering events like Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, the Texas heat hovered in the 90s all weekend, giving attendees the chance to air out their bikinis and shorts and cool off in front of a watery fan called the Sister Mister. On the event’s first afternoon Jenny Lewis, whose new album Acid Tongue had just debuted three days earlier, offered material from 2006’s Rabbit Fur Coat (”Rise Up With Fists,&#

Foo Fighters are Done!
I love the Foo Fighters in a way that borders on unhealthy.  I've seen them open for the Red Hot Chili Peppers at The Gorge and for the Police in Dodger Stadium.  I've seen them play accoustic overlooking the shores of Santa Barbara and rocking the Great Western Forum with the likes of Lemmy from Motorhead.  Basically, if there is foo to be fought, I'm on it. It's probably not healthy.  Luckily for my wallet the boys in the band are hanging it up- temporarily.
