The Insider: Jeffrey Ross on Reaching for the ‘Stars’
The Insider has long had a soft spot in her heart and on her funny bone for comedian Jeffrey Ross, so she was starting this season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” with something she usually didn’t have: a predetermined rooting interest. Then fate, and partner Edyta Slewinska’s fingernail, intervened during the final rehearsal before last Monday’s season premiere and Mr. Ross went down with a cornea injury that changed everything. The Insider talked to Mr. Ross Thursday, just after he’d bee

New Video: Cloris Leachman on Proving Herself to the 'DWTS' Judges
Cloris Leachman doesn’t talk jive -- she dances it! ET joins the 82-year-old Oscar winner and pro-partner Corky Ballas as they rehearse the jive, the next routine they'll attempt on "Dancing with the Stars." Read on to learn why Cloris thinks she's got something to prove to the judges! "First of all, you can't hear what they [the judges] are saying that night. There's so much noise," Cloris tells ET. "You either like it or you don't like it -- thumbs up or thumbs down," she s

DWTS' Cloris Leachman: "I Don't Have Any Worries" About Being Eliminated
Cloris Leachman hasn't exactly been a hit on Dancing With the Stars. (Judge Bruno Tonioli joked that she resembled her Young Frankenstein character while dancing the paso doble Monday night.) So is she fretting that she may get the boot on tonight's show? (Chef Rocco DiSpirito's fate on the show also remains questionable.) "I don't have any worries," Leachman, 82, told Usmagazine.com after Monday's show. "I'm planning on staying even if I have to go home." She joked that changing her hair from blo

Dancing with the Stars: It should have been Cloris Leachman (again) but Kim Kardashian left the door open
Somehow foul-mouthed Cloris Leachman was spared another week (you people voting know who you are) and the next weakest dance link Kim Kardashian was let go. Some would disagree with me that Rocco DiSpirito should have gotten the ax after a poor dance Monday. But Roco has had a good dance or two in past performances and he engages the audience when he dances. Kim on the other hand gave the same wooden performance 3 straight times at least far as the judges were concerned. For someone so in the spotlight it

Right dancer given the boot on "Dancing With the Stars"
The reality star couldn't do that well in the reality contest. Kim Kardashian was ejected on Tuesday's "Dancing With the Stars." It's a boon for ABC's top-rated series because the reality star had zero performing ability. Despite her beauty, Kardashian couldn't move with elegance or shake her hips with conviction. Poor thing. Oscar-winner Cloris Leachman had to sweat out the ejection scene with Kardashian. But Leachman went into performing mode. She sucked her thumb during windy narration. She

Cloris Leachman escapes, forcing Kim Kardashian off ABC's "Dancing With The Stars."

Who went home on DWTS?
Last night a pre-season hopeful got the boot off Dancing with the Stars.  Which borderline star was told to dance no more? Kim Kardashian If you are asking how could Cloris Leachman survive and Kim get sent packing you need to check out her performances….she sucked. Lance Bass Kissed a Girl on ‘Dancing with the Stars’… And Liked it
For a gay man, Lance Bass sure does seem to have a lot of chemistry with professional dance partner and hottie Lacey Schwimmer. On last night’s Dancing with the Stars performance show, they danced the paso doble to Katy Perry’s song, I Kissed a Girl. At the end… they kissed. Despite the crowds cheers, the judges were hard on them and once again criticized the lack of traditional choreography. Lance and Lacey ended up in the middle of the pack with a score of 20. Once again, Cloris Leachma

Bad news for Dancing With The Stars fans: ... [No More Dancing With The Stars]
Bad news for Dancing With The Stars fans: Misty May Treanor, Olympic Gold Medalist, has withdrawn from the competition due to injury. Treanor was an early favorite in the competition, which also features Cloris Leachman and Lance Bass. [MSNBC] 4:00 PM on Sat Oct 4 2008 By hortense 436 views

Kim Kardashian couldn’t keep up with ‘Dancing’
Back to reality: After earning her third chilly review from the judges following a not-so-romantic rumba Monday night, Kim Kardashian had to know her “Dancing” days were numbered. Bruno Tonioli called her performance “colder and more distant than Siberia,” and viewers evidently felt the same way. Kim’s exit proved a lucky break for a couple of ballroom hopefuls. After a performance night of largely lackluster dancers, the viewers could have just as easily turned on Rocco DiSpirito or Cloris Leach

That’s It for “Team Kim”
Kim Kardashian turned on the waterworks after getting ejected from last night’s Dancing with the Stars, which also happened to be the five-year anniversary of her father’s death. Erg. Couldn’t they have given her a break (she’s gotten enough in life, why not one more?) and just sent Cloris Leachman home this week? I’m not a Kim fan, but it seemed kind of cruel. It’s no surprise that she took the news badly: “Once the cameras were off Kardashian rushed to the waitin

Injured Misty May-Treanor leaves "Dancing With the Stars," Cloris Leachman loses her wig, Warren Sapp impresses
Here's a prediction: Warren Sapp is going to win "Dancing With the Stars." More on that later. Now to the news: Olympic gold-medalist Misty May-Treanor announced Monday night that she is leaving ABC's highest-rated show with a ruptured Achilles' tendon. But ABC won't reveal what her exit means until Tuesday's results show. (Thanks, ABC, for nothing.) And that results show will air at 8 p.m. on WFTV-Channel 9 because of the presidential debate at 9. At this point, Sapp and Brooke Burke loom as

“Shy” Kim Kardashian Thrown Off Dancing With The Stars
Kim Kardashian got bounced off of Dancing With The Stars last night, despite scoring higher with the judges than Cloris Leachman (who you know has the senior vote locked). Adding to the awkwardness was that last night was the 5th anniversary of the death of her father, Robert Kardashian. “I just know he’s really happy and watching over me and I made him proud,” she said. Kim’s asstastic dance to “Baby Got Back” didn’t just make angels weep, either. “This is me, witho

Kim Kardashian is Eliminated from ‘Dancing with the Stars’
That’s right, Kim Kardashian-the girl who dates hotshot NFL star Reggie Bush, danced with the Pussycat Dolls, and posed for Playboy- just wasn’t able to bring sexy back on Monday and was eliminated from the Dancing with the Stars competition last night. She and partner Mark Ballas received lower votes than Cloris Leachman and Mark’s dad, Corky Ballas. Those eldery folks must really be voting hard! Lauren Bacall Livens Up Nicole Kidman Profile With Cuss-Laden Slams at Tom Cruise [Old People Swearing]
Here at Defamer, we have a well-documenter love of salty old battle axes (hi, Cloris Leachman!) so props must be paid when one goes above and beyond the call of duty in providing us with entertainment. This week's recipient of our wizened love is Hollywood veteran Lauren Bacall, who adds a much-needed dash of (blue) color to Elle's upcoming profile of Nicole Kidman. While the Botoxed beauty is in a magnanimous mood, acknowledging her pleasure that ex Tom Cruise has found a "more profound" love with Katie Ho

Dancing With the Stars 7: As Cold as Siberia…?
OK, I’m guilty of saying negative things about Kim Kardashian’s level of passion in her dance moves, but I wasn’t the one that did the most dissing this week! The judges were downright mean to her. The worst was Bruno Tonioli. He told her that her dancing was: …as cold and as distant as Siberia. Now THAT’S harsh! I am not surprised that she went home this week, I was surprised that Ted McGinley went home before her. But that’s no reason to be cruel. She was trying to

9/29 Dancing With The Stars: Performances and Prediction. Will Cloris Stay Another Week? We Hope Not!
Toni this week was untouchable in her gown.  She was the bell of the ball by so far, it was seriously unfair.  The only reason anyone would vote against her would be jealousy.  The dance was slow, provocative and sensual.   Judges score: 23.  A slight understatement by the judges, but overall, right on. 2.      Brooke and Derek (7/10) Great outfits, but the dance was stiff.  They started getting it on in the middle, but there was little chemistry, minimal eye contact, just lots of flash.  Nice

Kim Kardashian Eliminated from 'Dancing with the Stars'
With her parting words, Kim paid homage to her father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away five years ago. She said she felt like she'd made him proud. And Mark praised his father, too, saying he was glad pops Corky Ballas was still in the running after narrowly escaping elimination with partner Cloris Leachman in the bottom two. Musical guest Jessica Simpson got the crowd stomping their feet with a couple of rollicking country tunes, and viewers were also treated to a fabulous dance routine from the chore

Dancing With the Stars 7: The Most Fun Dances This Week
This week’s performances were almost all very, very good for the second week. The judges highly favored both Brooke Burke & Warren Sapp, but I have to admit that one of my favorites was not the same. Yes, I thought Warren Sapp was fantastic and the routine that he and Kym Johnson did with a “Matrix-esque” feel, was so much fun, But Brooke Burke’s dance just didn’t WOW me this week. (I’m not a huge fan of the paso doble…it’s just not my favorite.) Here&

Ted McGinley leaves Dancing; even its judges don't understand elimination show order
At the end of its fifth hour of the week, Dancing with the Stars 7 eliminated its second celebrity: Ted McGinley. In part because it featured The Jonas Brothers and very little Cloris Leachman, it was long, drawn-out, and relatively boring. To maintain drama, those who’d received the lowest scores from the judges were saved early on, while apparently favorites such as Lance Bass were kept around until the end. And they were kept around, because the show’s eliminations remove contestants from
