Emmy Awards 2008: red carpet commentary
As one of the hosts of the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards last night, Heidi Klum got to indulge in more costume changes than most of the celebrities at the ceremony - and hit the mark more often than not.
Her gunmetal grey Armani Privé gown, which she wore for the red carpet itself, stood out from crowd with its unusual shape but still hit the popular “assymetric” and “ooh glam!” trends. Ditto the grey and yellow gown she wore on stage early on in the ceremony, which hugged her figu

The Ladies Pop and Shine on the Emmys Red Carpet
The ladies were bursting with color and sparkle at last night's Emmy Awards. Christina Applegate looked positively radiant and was the talk of the night — smiley, happy and healthy. Mary Louise Parker was the most eye catching of all in her bright blue number though you all were fairly divided on the look while Brooke Shields lived up to the name of her show in Lipstick pink. Heidi Klum went dramatic while Eva Longoria was all tied up in a bow with Tony on her arm. Debra Messing was one of Fab's best dres
2008 Emmy Women: Hayden Panettiere Is Black And Blue
I think that Hayden Panettiere might have been the only Heroes castmember I recognized at the Emmys. With boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia
nowhere in sight, Hayden looked elegant, yet age appropriate in a
midnight blue gown with black beaded trim. I really love her dress.
Evangeline Lilly was another woman whose gown I absolutely
loved. I feel like the color of the dress was just perfect for her skin
tone and the architectural design of the detailing was a perfect fit on
the athletic physique of the Lost star.
60th Primetime Emmy Awards Red Carpet Pictures
Sunday night was the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards and the celebs did not disappoint on the red carpet. It was a fashion extravaganza with lots of long gowns, beading, jewels and mermaid style dresses.
I have to say that Vanessa Williams totally caught my eye. She looked GORGEOUS and that dress was beautiful. I think it’s safe to say she stood out the most to me as one of the best dressed ladies of the night. I LOVED her dress. It was so different and very pretty/elegant.

2008 Emmy Awards Trend Alert: Dripping With Beading
Lavishly beaded dresses are no strangers to the red carpet. Nevertheless, their gorgeousness paid us many visits at the 2008 Primetime Emmy Awards. Whether on neutral, black, or white dresses, sparkly beads and crystals made the carpet a much more luminous place tonight. Case in point: Kyra Sedgwick in L'Wren Scott (left). Without the bead detailing, the dress would simply be a plain white dress. Gasp! Beading also appeared on asymmetrical straps, cap sleeves, trains, and sprinkled all over. See who else wa
The fashion of the Emmy's! Lousy Hosts but fun colors!
Pretty in pinkSadly I have to say it was a pretty boring show. Lousy hosts that I can barely watch when they host their own shows, only a few unusual wins, and way too much politics. The dresses weren't that fabulous either but there were a few stand-outs. Julia in NarciscoJulia Louis-Dreyfuss looked stunning as usual in her bright Narcisco Rodriguez. Cynthia Nixon also looked lovely in her Calvin Klein but it would have been nice if she had worn make-up. Christina Applegate (who should have won) was stunni
60th Annual Emmy Awards Mega Picture Post
The 60th Annual Emmy Awards were held last night, and I totally forgot they were on. Of course, I'm pretty damn sure I didn't miss anything. If you've seen one award show, you've seen them all, and been bored every time. Still, that doesn't mean I would neglect to post all the celebrities in their fancy dresses.
In attendence were all the regular TV hotties, but my personal favourites were Hayden Panettiere, Evangeline Lilly, Heidi Klum, January Jones, the mega-booblicious Christina Hendricks, a possibly
Eva Longoria & Tony Parker @ 60th Primetime Emmy Awards
Eva Longoria says ’no way, now how’ to Heather MillsBut when the show’s stars were told, Longoria put her foot down - refusing to have her anywhere near the set, Elyzabeth said.“I tried to get her on Desperate Housewives in a little cameo. The producer was keen. I reckon they saw the chance to get some headlines for the show. But when the stars discussed it, Eva Longoria was totally against it. She demanded Heather be dropped from consideration." Sourceread more

2008 Emmy Awards: Best Dressed
The 2008 Emmys churned out a grand selection of gowns. But when it came to favorites, your votes went to either the light and lovely looks or the dark and mysterious ones. While there was color on the red carpet, the most stunning looks didn't need the help of a hue. My heart goes to Olivia Wilde in romantic Reem Acra, but also Debra Messing in dramatic Monique Lhuillier. Night and day, day and night. Which of these salt and peppered looks was the grandest of all?

Emmy Awards Reality Hosts Get Black and Blue and Boo
Oprah wowed in red as she opened the show after the cool What's my line? clip but unfortunately following her was the reality hosts talking about nothing. It was almost as uncomfortable as watching Ricky Gervais ask for his Emmy back from Steve Carell. Yes it was funny but I was getting a bit worried that Steve was going to cry or beat the crap out of him. Other quick thoughts: Steve Martin, Genius. Josh Groban, surprisingly cool! Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth, favorite presenting couple. C

Eva Longoria Red Carpet Pictures at 2008 Emmy Awards
Actress Eva Longoria in a strapless mini dress and her NBA player husband, Tony Parker pose as they arrive at the 60th annual Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, Ca., the US, September 21, 2008.She looks absolutely goddess and sexy but not in a trashy way, very stylish.
Emmy Awards 2008 : Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria and hubby Tony Parker (who couldn’t even fit in our frame) arrived at the Emmy Awards together and didn’t separate until Eva had to go on stage to present an award.
As you can see, Eva wore a frilly loose dress to hide her self-declared fat stomach/possible pregnant tummy.

Christina Applegate Makes Appearance At Emmy Awards
Christina Applegate made an appearance at last night’s Emmy Awards, her first major appearance after announcing that she was battling breast cancer.
She arrived on the red carpet, looking very glamerous, sporting a powder blue one-shoulder dress topped with an amazing pair of earrings.
She spoke with co-host E! host Ryan Seacrest, saying that “It really feels good to be here … That’s what life’s all about.”
She underwent a double mastectomy not that long ago, and has b
2008 Emmy Awards: The Jewels of the Night
It's not every day you get to witness rare and bold jewelry. Last night at the Emmys I had my bling eye tuned in to the Fred Leighton, Chopard, Cartier, and Lorraine Schwartz stunners. All these beauties deserve a closer look, and I'm here to give it to you. I must point out Christina Applegate's candy-drop earrings; she proves even if you wear a bold (Reem Acra) dress, your jewelry doesn't have to hide. Emmy Awards 2008 - Christina Applegate Wearing Reem Acra Dress
Second of all, what is it with all these gowns with remaining fabric you have to drag after you as wedding dress dream reminiscence? Christina’s Reem Acra looked bitter and uninspired to me. The print looks like accidentally tainted fabric, the dress is unattractive and ordinary for this Emmy Awards Ceremony. Not to mention the hair updo, too much for Christina’s face. If you like this dress, please tell me why and how to look at it so I could see its unspeakable beauty! (you can see a makeup and hairst
Emmy Awards: Top of the frocks (+pics)
It's a tough one choosing a best dressed winner from this year's Emmy Awards. Most stars stayed out of the sin bin and opted for tried and tested silhouettes and flattering colours.
My pick would have to be Christina Applegate, who made a triumphant return to the red carpet after breast cancer surgery.
While many stars went for the safe shapes and colours she chose a dramatic, sweeping gown in ice blue with metallic patches.
Vanessa Williams came a close second in a floor-length white
Christina Applegate at the 2008 Emmy Awards
Christina Applegate, after undergoing a double mastectomy last month, showed up at the Emmy Awards last night looking absolutely radiant. Here’s what she had to say:
“I have so many people to thank,” she said, “First of all, I would thank everybody for the overwhelming love and support that I’ve gotten through all of this. It brings tears to my eyes.
“Like, every day I get e-mails not even just from people I know, but from people I don’t know who I’ve helped
