'90210' sets new ratings record for CW
Whether you liked it or not, CW's 90210 remake scored for the struggling network Tuesday, reports USA TODAY's Gary Levin. The series premiere netted 4.9 million viewers to become the biggest scripted premiere in the network's 2-year history among its target audience of women 18 to 34. Impressively, the audience held up throughout the 2-hour telecast (Shannen Doherty popped up about two-thirds into it). The big test is whether curious fans nostalgic for the 1990s Fox forerunner will come back next week.
