Our Commenters of the Week Win a ‘Bambi’ From Karl Lagerfeld! [Comments Of The Week]
As consumers brave Black Friday amidst a crippling recession, it’s comforting to know that our comments of the week have earned their writers a truly priceless present: a Bambi Award from Karl Lagerfeld himself! “I admire you, not only for your snark, but also for your energy,” said Lagerfeld. “You are to be reincarnated as the Norse god Loki, or as a muted palette in the Chanel resort collection.” Congratulations (we think?) — now, on to the winners:

It's The Karl Lagerfeld Bear!
We're not sure whether to file this one under "fashion" or under "bears," but in any event, look, it's a Karl Lagerfeld-designed teddy bear! The limited-edition stuff animal will run you approximately $1400, plus the eternal shame of exposing just how empty your soul is, but it's kind of cute, right?

Kaiser Karl or YSL?
If you haven't yet read The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake, please do so. It taught me so much about the early lives and careers of two of the greatest fashion designers of our time: Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld. I even discovered their most private habits and how their Inner Circle worked. Though sadly we had to say goodbye to Yves this year, Karl is still chugging away. How well do you know these two rivals and legends? Take my quiz and find out.

Karl Lagerfeld SS 2009 Bag Vs Fake Karl Bags
I was running the virtual catwalk for Spring Summer 2009, searching for a way to proper start the SS 2009 reviews and found something I thought you should be aware of!
Karl Lagerfeld’s collection for Spring Summer 2009 was as non-colored as you can get (but I’ll save the best for the catwalk report!). Still, something drew my attention and got me thinking (yes, I know it’s fashion and I shouldn’t be doing that much thinking, but it’s my runway, the cerebral way or the high way!). Karl Lagerfeld h
Karl Lagerfeld Is Coming To The States
In fact, he is going to save the U.S. economy with the six-bedroom, 1840 landmark building on an island in Lake Champlain, Vermont that he just plunked down a nice chunk of change for.
Why Vermont?????
Oh, of course he's already picked out the curtains! Something along the lines of a Vilhelm Hammershoi painting.
“I love it. It’s very much Emily Dickinson," he said backstage at a Chanel show.
He plans on staging new Chanel campaigns out of the new property, the landscape of which is similar to that o

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2009: Chanel
Karl Lagerfeld presented the Spring 2009 Chanel ready-to-wear collection on Friday with the usual fanfare, bringing 31 Rue Cambon to the Grand Palais. The color palette was somber and classic chanel - black and white with some soft pastels thrown in for good measure. Far from boring, this allowed the pieces themselves to shine, which they did.
The Safety Jacket By Colette x Gap
Ugly and yellow, not matching anything, the Safety Jacket got reinterpreted by Colette and Gap. It comes with matching yellow pouch. Both are printed with designs signed by Florence Deygas. I know I have a safety jacket in my car so I don’t see the use of getting a spare one, even if it’s signed by Colette and Gap (or advertised by Karl Lagerfeld). Would you buy an extra Colette one?

The Beckhams & The Cruises Reunited….
After nearly five months of not being photographed together, David and Victoria Beckham were reunited with their Scientology loving pals, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, for a hedonistic night out in New York.
Ok, it wasn’t hedonistic at all, it was actually rather civilised – we were just being dramatic. The Beckahms and their three adorable children, popped over to NY to watch Katie perform in her Broadway play All My Sons.
After their evening at theatre the Beckham clan were joined by Katie, Tom and Su

The Most Awkward Minute Of Britney’s Life…
[Images:]After Britney Spears performed Womanizer last night at the Bambi awards in Germany, legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld stepped onto the stage to present her with an award. But as the designer did this, he decided to give the singer an impromptu congratulatory speech. So why was this so awkward? Well it's because Britney basically can’t understand a word he’s saying – and absolutely no amount of smiling and nodding can detract away from the fact she blatantly wants him to shut the hell up. And

The eccentric actor is asking the world’s 8 million Scientologists to see Valkyrie on opening weekend.
Would You Let Alec Baldwin Near Your Children? [Save The Children]
The New York Department of Education not only allowed Alec Baldwin into an elementary school, they're advertising this terrifying visit on their website! Ye gods he will eat those kids alive. Oh look, we found a video clip of his appearance:
Ha ha, just kidding. We didn't make up this part, though: "Kaitlin Silva, who acted as the duck in the story, said she enjoyed Mr. Baldwin’s visit."

So who’s even more powerful than the most well-known Scientology proponent?
The top ten includes President-elect Barack Obama’s Secret Service Agent (# 1) and The Palin guys (Levi Johnston, 44, Todd, 18, Track, 19, Trig, 7 months).

A Little More on Pigs... [Politics]
"The New York Times has an article about me calling columnist Heather Mallick a pig," blogs Greta van Susteren via Foxnews.com. "Yes, I called a columnist—in a calm, cool voice—a pig for saying that the nominee for Vice President looks like a porn star." Well, Greta: you can be "happier than a pig in shit" or you can be a "thoughtless little pig," like Alec Baldwin called his daughter via voicemail. You can even be a capitalist pig. We've discussed the lexicon of contemporary vulgarities before,
