Clint Eastwood give up acting? Don't count on it - Reuters
Clint Eastwood spends more time behind the camera these days directing films. But anyone who believed him a few years ago when he said he had given up on acting, can think again. Clint has changed his mind.
The Academy Award-winning director, who was promoting his latest film "Changeling" at the New York Film Festival on Thursday, began acting more than 50 years ago and gained fame playing tough-minded cowboys and cops.

Clint Eastwood makes a movie that might not be loved by the Academy? NO WAI.
The word coming out of New York Film Festival press screenings about Clint Eastwood's new film, The Changeling, is not good. In fact, that movie sounds like it sucks, like it's a joke. Ed Douglas of Coming Soon has Twittered that he'll be giving the film a 2 out of 10; Karina Longworth of Spout has this memorable drinking game for the movie:
We drink every time Angelina hysterically proclaims, “He’s not my son!” We get very drunk, and this may be why we can’t figure out why Clint Eastwood made a ch

Changeling: Sneak Peek - VIDEO
Check out this new clip from the Clint Eastwood film, starring Angelina Jolie. Opens wide in theaters Oct. 31, 2008.
This looks like one of those dark Eastwood films a la Mystic River (from which I’m still trying to recover).

Tidbits from Here, There and Everywhere
Clint Eastwood on The Daily Show
Veteran actor and director Clint Eastwood showed up on The Daily Show last night. Before he could even get a word out, host Jon Stewart let him know that he knew Clint could kick his ass - and that everyone else knew it, too! Watch:
Clint is currently promoting his new movie The Changeling with Angelina Jolie; it’s based on the true story of a single mom in the 30’s whose son was switched out for another little boy in a twisted plot. I don’t think I’ll be watching it mostly becaus
Clint Eastwood's Changeling Struggling for Early Buzz
Coming off of films like Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby, and Letters from Iwo Jima, one would've expected Clint Eastwood to continue directing nothing but solid hits. His latest film, Changeling, had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year and seemed to pick up some solid buzz. However, the film is currently showing at the New York Film Festival and reviews coming out of that have been rather dismal. At this point I'm not sure which opinion to trust more with such a wide range of

'Flash Of Genius' wipes away interest
Here's a movie about the real-life guy who invented the intermittent windshield wiper and his 16-year court battle against Ford to prove he invented it. Sounds nice but a little dull, doesn't it?
Well, that about nails it -- that and the fact that it takes as much screen time as Clint Eastwood took to invade Iwo Jima.
Nice-guy Greg Kinnear actually succeeds in painting dark strokes on his portrayal of Bob Kearns, a college engineer professor who gets the bright idea of using a combination of resistors

Angelina Jolie wasn't MIA at the NYFF
Director Clint Eastwood was present at the news conference yesterday, but there was never a plan for Angelina Jolie to be part of the meet-the-press event, says a spokesman for Universal Pictures. Just the premiere. Nor was there ever a plan to take "Changeling" to Toronto, which suggests TIFF didn't really pass on it.
"We never planned to go and never showed them the film for consideration, always aiming toward New York," says Universal's exec VP of publicity Michael Moses. "It
Angie & Brad Hit NYC; Jimmy Smits Stabs Stuntman [Dirt Bag]
Angelina and Brad are in New York! Angie will walk the red carpet at the New York Film Festival tomorrow, for the premiere of her movie The Changeling, a 1920s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood. We know Shiloh is here, but as for Knox, Vivi, Zahara, Pax and Maddox? We'll have to wait and see. [People]

good morning! the latest cover of STAR magazine is claiming there's trouble brewing again for Angelina Jolie who is possibly being treated for depression (it sounds like a case of the baby blues) a supposedly frantic Brad Pitt is insisting angie needs to seek professional help! she has been keeping a low profile since the birth of twins knox leon & vivienne marcheline - so who knows what is really up with her but i do hope that everything is fine! we'll probably see her in public again once publicity for he
Op-Ed Contributor - Spike Lee - Why Tonto Should Be a Brother
When talking about the history of this great country, one can never forget that America was built upon the genocide of Native Americans and the enslavement of African people. No one has suffered more than our people. Yet the film industry continues to denigrate us by casting Johnny Depp in the role of “Lone Ranger” sidekick Tonto and, even more sickeningly, begrudging me of the Oscar I so clearly deserve for my poignant portrayals of racism and stereotypes. F*cking Hollywood Jews.

Spike Lee Ends Feud With Clint Eastwood; Did He Start New One With Judd Apatow?
Few Hollywood folks have picked as many showbiz fights as Spike Lee. So I was amused when I saw he was ending one feud and seeming to start another. I for one can't remember all the spats. But a very public one took place back in 1997 when Lee criticized Quentin Tarantino for using the word “nigger” in movies. More recently, Spike started an international battle with Clint Eastwood. At a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, Lee accused him of omitting black soldiers from his two recent movie
Viggo Mortensen, Ed Harris gab about garb, camaraderie in 'Appaloosa'
Clothes make the man, they say. But they especially make the cowboy.
Not every modern-day actor can pull off the frontier look. Two who can: Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen, cut from the same professional cloth and co-stars in Appaloosa, which goes wide Friday.
Harris, who also directs, is the nattily attired marshal Virgil Cole. Mortensen is his deputy, Everett Hitch, who prefers well-worn garb. As they go after a lowdown rancher (Jeremy Irons) who lords over a New Mexico mining town, their lawmen are
Val Kilmer, aka Batman, the next governor of New Mexico?
Ronald Reagan made it all the way to White House, Clint Eastwood managed a
term as Mayor of Carmel-by-Sea, and Arnold Schwarzenegger is still, just
about, Governor of California. Now Val Kilmer could be the next "big-name"
to jollify the colourful world of celebrity politics.
The occasionally-outspoken actor has sent a shockwave through the sleepy
political establishment of his native New Mexico amid reports that he's

Angelina Jolie: Angelina Jolie’s latest photo
Angelina Jolie’s latest photo is here. Jolie is back in the US. Angelina Jolie flew back from Germany, where her family was staying while her partner, Brad Pitt, films his new movie for director Quentin Tarantino. Angelina Jolie had been overseas before the birth of her twins Vivienne and Knox.
Angelina Joli, 33, wants to attend the premiere of her new movie, The Changeling. Her director was Clint Eastwood. The New York Film Festival is on Oct. 4 and Angelina Jolie is expected to grace the event.
'Changeling' Poster: Exclusive First Look
Click poster to enlargeThe last time Angelina Jolie received an Oscar nod was for playing a mental patient in 1999's Girl, Interrupted, for which she took home the statue for Best Supporting Actress. To give you an idea of how long ago that was, consider this: Winona Ryder -- and not Jolie -- was a box-office draw back then.
Now, after years of strong and sometimes overlooked performances (ahem, A Mighty Heart), Jolie is once again receiving battalions of Oscar buzz, this time for her role in Clint Eastw
