Gossip Girl Realism Scale Rating: -5!
Each Gossip Girl episode is reviewed by New York Magazine, then assigned a score according to the magazine's arbitrary, but hilarious "realism scale."This week's show, "The Dark Night," measured -5 on the nonsensical system. Here are some highlights from the publication's Gossip Girl analysis ...OMG! Marcus punched Chuck! Nobody ever gets what they deserve on this show. Plus 4.All the women in this episode have sweaty, dewy cleavage but perfect hair and non-sweaty upper lips. How is that fair? Realistic, we
I don't want to wait: Life after "Dawson's Creek"
Life after Dawson's Creek has proven difficult for Dawson himself. It seems James Van Der Beek hasn't done much in the way of film or regular TV to follow-up his leading role in the hit WB series. However, his former cast mates have all moved on, and this fall, they are appearing on both the small and big screens.
Katie Holmes, "Joey"
Holmes infamously married Tom Cruise and birthed baby Suri to much fanfare, but as far as her professional life goes, this month she's trying her hand at Broadway as p
The Look For Less: Gossip Girl's Serena Van Der Woodsen
Last night's episode of Gossip Girl wasn't as juicy as the premiere, but there were enough scrumptious affairs to keep us on our toes until next week. As the Upper East Siders left the Hamptons, Serena and Dan couldn't seem to keep their paws off one another. Seriously, who could resist Serena's temptation and her fabulous frock? Her tie-dye Adam maxi dress looks hippie-chic. To complete the ensemble, a layered Margo Morrison necklace and Sigerson Morrison sandals. Her cute party look inspired me to find a

Promos and Partnerships Gone Wild?
If the Daily Intel is to be believed (and I think they’re good for it), In Style magazine will be playing nice with the cast of Gossip Girl in October.
The oh-so-entertaining writers at DI are reporting that In Style magazine will be featuring an upcoming party “thrown” by Lily van der Woodsen. In return, In Style editor at large Ariel Foxman and assistant managing editor Honor Brodie will appear on the October 27 episode as themselves.
In addition to the In Style magazine mention on th
Rufus, Lily, Phone Home! Gossip Girl Needs You
We were more than a little disappointed with last night's Gossip Girl. Of course there was the usual array of bed-hopping, one-liners and trashiness. That we loved. But what we can't understand is why, as yet, not one thing has happened on the Rufus/Lily unrequited love affair front.
Gossip Girl is now two episodes into its second year and we've yet to even see Lily Van Der Woodsen on screen! It's understood that she's on her honeymoon with Bart Bass, but couldn't the show do even one cutaway to her on som
Atonement.
"The Dutch Reformed Church Moreleta Park has decided to abide by the court ruling, and will pay gay music teacher Johan Strydom about R87 000 in damages and loss of income, as well as make a public apology to him, minister Dirkie van der Spuy said on Tuesday… The church was last month ordered to unconditionally apologise to Strydom for unfairly discriminating against him on the grounds of his sexual orientation." Beach Blanket Bingo
Yes, I’m still on vacation (although we haven’t played any Beach Blanket Bingo yet), but I did manage to catch a bit of a couple of shows this week. I saw about 5 minutes of Gossip Girl, and I just put together that Blake Lively, Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl, is Monica from Accepted. I’m not sure why that never clicked before, cause I love that movie and I’ve seen it like ten times. We just happened to watch Accepted earlier that night, and then I saw that little bit of G

Blake Lively's Dress: Hot or Not?
One of the awesome things about Gossip Girl being filmed on location in New York (and not on some closed Hollywood set) is the continuous, early previews of some of the characters' fashion choices that we get as a result. Here's Blake Lively in another (gulp) form-fitting dress on the set of Gossip Girl this week. "Gossip Girl" Cast Gets Dose In Real Life
The hit TV show "Gossip Girl," which is narrated by a character called "The Gossip Girl," centers around wealthy and sometimes wild New York teens.
Unfortunately, the cast has to deal with a healthy dose of real life gossip off the set, too.
Early Show co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez stopped by the set of "Gossip Girl" to chat with the cast while they film their new season in Queens, New York.
Rodriguez talked with Blake Lively ("Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants"), who plays Serena van der Woodsen on the
'Gossip Girl' Recap: A Who's Done Who Mystery
Instead of a "Who Done It" murder mystery, this week's episode of Gossip Girl seemed more like a "Who's Done Who" mystery - and everyone had the chance to play along.
Beginning with Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Dan Humphrey's (Penn Badgley) joyous sexual reunion (or in this case, morning disillusion) on the Hampton beach, the sex-capades of Gossip Girl were in full swing. Scantily clad Serena was confused if she and Dan should actually be back together, claiming that they broke up "for a reas
A.V. Club interviews Josh Schwartz
Interviewed by Scott TobiasSeptember 4th, 2008At age 26, a precocious USC film-school dropout named Josh Schwartz became the youngest show-runner in network-television history when Fox gambled on his primetime soap opera The O.C. Though it owed something to the trail blazed by the likes of Melrose Place and Dawson's Creek, the show distinguished itself through a savvy mix of teen angst and snappy banter, juicy class-driven conflicts, a great alt-rock soundtrack, and adult characters who were just as well-dr

Blake Lively Wants Her Gossip Girl Wardrobe
Blake Lively is hoping to inherit her character's huge wardrobe when she leaves Gossip Girl.
The actress -- who plays rich girl Serena van der Woodsen in The CW network's teen drama -- says she has no plans on ditching the Upper Eastside for some time, but hopes if she stars in the program for long enough she might get the chance to keep some of the designer gear when she eventually does move on.
